Springbank: Das Flaggschiff heißt schlicht Springbank– und wird wegen seines legendären Salztons gerne als „der Maritime“ bezeichnet. Leicht getorft und 2,5 fach destilliert, wurde der Single Malt schon 1828 zum ersten Mal abgefüllt und ist heute in den Altersstufen 10, 12, 15, 18 und 21 Jahre erhältlich. Dabei ist jede einzelne Abfüllung ein individuelles Geschmackserlebnis: Bei der für 10 Jahre gereiften Edition etwa spielt das Aroma mit dem Geschmack süßer Früchte und Honig und variiert dies unnachahmlich mit einem feinen Torfton. Rundum ausgewogen im Geschmack, mit einer tiefen und dennoch unaufdringlichen Malznuance und stets präsenter rauchiger Note ist dieser Whisky lang und elegant im Abgang.
