In “Forever More XIX ”, Rowan’s created a beautiful landscape with incredible details in yellow tones. The innovator of painting on glass creates atmospheric scenes that allow us to escape from everyday life. The sky takes full stage, enhanced by the details on the trees, the mountains, the gradience in colour and the overall depth of the piece. The background in warm yellow and orange colours evokes a sense of grandiosity and calm, highlighted by its reflection in the water.

Richard worked meticulously to add this hand-painted background that preserves vibrant shades of oil beneath the layers, before piercing through them to add depth and texture. This intricate and atmospheric piece created in layers, is an opportunity for collectors to acquire a new type of original work from Richard. Find out more about this collection here.

The acclaimed artist has created this unique original artwork that transforms a singular, pre-existing foreground with different hand-painted skies. Utterly transforming each scene with new colours so that they evoke different times of the year and day, every piece creates an opportunity for collectors to acquire a new type of original work from Richard. Being at the forefront of his technique, Richard Rowan’s artworks are detailed with his characteristic photographic realism, illustrating the power of nature. The landscapes are reverse painted in layers on to the glass, which allows him to achieve the microscopic detail and preserve the vibrant colours. On each of Richard's original and unique artworks is a transparent viewing panel to allow collectors to see the process behind their creation.

The definitive paperback edition
Format: Paperback
I purchased the Oxford World's Classics edition of "Le Morte d'Arthur: The Winchester Manuscript" for a school reading assignment, and I can say with confidence that this is the version you want. The original Old English is present (it was virtually a new language), complete with very useful footnotes to assist with antiquated words and phrases. The story was intriguing, colorful, and poignant (it's a downer, but a well-written one), filled with memorable characters such as Sir Gareth and Sir Launcelot. If you have a taste for classic literature and are looking for a challenge, definitely give "Le Morte d'Arthur" a read, especially with this version.

This copy is an excellent modernization of Malory's text with helpful footnotes and endnotes
Format: Paperback
I got this book for class, so I've only read large segements of it. This copy is an excellent modernization of Malory's text with helpful footnotes and endnotes. The footnotes were always available to explain unfamiliar words without interrupting the flow of the story.

Delightful text, but the omissions are frustrating
Format: Paperback
The modern spellings of the original Middle English text make this book quite easy and fun to read. However if you're trying to follow the actual complete storyline or compare it side-by-side with one of the original full text versions the frequent omissions quickly become quite evident and frustrating as you realize just how abridged this version actually is. That being said, the foot-of-page glossary and explanatory notes are quite helpful and informative. If only they wouldn't have left so much of the text out this would be a five-star review.

Simple and easy to read
Format: Paperback
If you are looking to just understand Le Morte, this is a good book. It's written in modern English, due to the fact the author decided he wanted it to mirror the Winchester manuscript as closely as possible, that is, he wanted it to be written in the most easily accessible language of the time. Therefore, the Oxford edition of Le Morte is less bogged down in old spellings and archaic language as other versions of the text.
