Hence is the third collaborative release from Oren Ambarchi and Jim O'Rourke, following on from Behold (EMEGO 176LP, 2015). Building on the refined combination of electronics and acoustic instrumentation found on their previous releases, Hence presents two side-long pieces combining synthesizers, heavily effected guitar tones, and tabla rhythms played by special guest Uzhaan. On the first side, an explosive opening chord sends out ripples of sparse, irregularly pulsing guitar and synthesizer tones, aleatorically changing in pitch and jumping around the stereo image. Combined with the tabla, which gradually builds in busyness throughout the side, the piece is like a dream collaboration between David Behrman and the Henry Kaiser of It's A Wonderful Life (1984), gradually overtaken in it's second half by a swarm of lush live electronic sizzle. The second side begins in a similar area, combining tabla, shimmering Leslie cabinet guitar tones, and a wandering melodic line. Undergoing a series of subtle variations, this initial area eventually builds to a climax of twittering synthesized birdsong reminiscent of Alvin Curran's '70s work. As on the first side, Ambarchi and O'Rourke craft a piece that is both comforting and subtly strange, as the constantly shifting dynamics and changes of focus (which recall the flow of improvised music) refuse to allow the music to settle into any one moment for too long or to build in too linear a fashion. Combining influences from post-minimalism, the pioneers of live electronics, and eastern music into a unique sound world, Hence is a seductive work from two of the most singular sensibilities in contemporary music. Super cute and soft!

I really like this case. I was surprised by how soft it is! It arrived in perfect condition (just like the photos), no smell, keyboard worked. I followed the sellers instructions to charge before use. I gave it one less star because personally don’t care about the keyboard, it’s a little on the slower side when using the mousepad or typing. I didn’t have any issues with connecting. It was an easy setup. I’d suggest you spend the money for a laptop or a true keyboard if you need it. This is more for looks. If it wasn’t for the quality of the case, I’d probably return.

Good protection for my ipad

Flap to close is magnetic, so it stays closed. Has a spot for the open for the ipad. Keyboard is a handy feature to have, and love that it lights up.

Case quality is great, but keyboard is disappointing

The quality of the case is really great. Plum color is beautiful. However, the keyboard is not the best quality. The keys are not sensitive enough and you can easily misspell words if you don’t click a key hard enough. The trackpad shortcuts are cool but inconvenient since you can turn off the shortcuts. You can turn off the trackpad but that just doesn’t work for me.

There's absolutely no way you could find a better ipad case with a wireless keyboard for this price. My daughter loves it. I was expecting it to feel a little cheap because of the price. I was wrong, this is a great find... thanks

Cute but beware of buttons with a mind of its own.

Super cute. Only has 3 keyboard multicolor options and one white light setting. Dimmable. But its functionality needs work. But the keys keep doing weird things like skipping lines, changing excel sheet formatting and just moving where I am typing on it own. Like it will be typing and then move to the beginning of the sentence and keep moving. The feel is super light and the quality of the case is great though. It’s easy to use and install to device with Bluetooth. Value is you get what you paid for. This keyboard is cute but not working quite well. I accidentally ordered a different model for a later iPad and had to return it, but based off of a leader model in comparison to this one, the keyboard just isn’t that great
