They do have some regular lighting settings you can use without connecting to the app, which is convenient if you just want simple colors. Setup is fairly easy and they look clean behind the TV. That said, I do wish there were more options available without having to rely on the app. The basic settings work fine, but it would be nice to have a few more built-in modes.
