The rate at which this happens depends on a variety of factors such as the cutting surface, hardness of the knife, how hard the cutting surface is struck, etc. While diamond and steel cutting rods do exist, ceramic honing rods are the preferred style for most. They are gentler on the blade of the knife and uncurl the edge without aggressively stripping off material.These honing rods are 12" of ceramic with a black handle. They feel great in the hand and work wonders on your knife's edge. There are other honing rods to choose from, but this one is our favorite, especially for the Gallatin's high hardness.
Anytime that you feel your knife is less sharp than it should be, its time to get out the honing rod. This can greatly extend the lifetime of your blade and the time between resharpenings.
How to use a Honing Rod
1. Hold the rod straight up, with the tip planted on a folded, slightly damp dish towel to anchor it securely, so the only moving part will be your knife. This helps you keep a consistent motion, which is important for good results.
2. Start with the heel (back corner) of the knife blade at top of the rod. Tilt the knife away from the rod at a 15-degree angle. Keeping that angle, draw the knife smoothly and fairly lightly down the rod. As it descends, you are also sliding the knife from heel to tip, pulling it down and toward your body. It sounds more complicated than it is. A few minutes’ practices makes perfect.
3. Alternate sides of the hone with each stroke. A half-dozen strokes on each side should be enough for a light touch-up.
4. Try to duplicate your motion and pressure on each side of the hone. This is important if you want to keep the knife’s cutting edge straight.

Works well

i bought this for 3 reasons.
1. Privacy when changing so I don't have to lock dog out of room.
2. In case MIL comes over and wants to snoop. She won't be able to see my bedroom.
3. A nice backdrop to use when taking photos of the clothing I make.
This is perfect for me.
My only "complaint" is that it is not the most sturdy thing. I have to finagle it in a way that keeps it from falling over.
But for the price, it can't be beat!

Cheap and unstable

Although this has nothing to do with the product, it arrived a day later than previously stated. Making me have to create a makeshift room divider the day it was actually needed. When the product arrived it arrived in a box that showed no evidence of damage. Once opened, divider was found inside a plastic cover. Great protector for dust or scratching. The divider was fully assembled so there was nothing for me to do but remove it from packaging and use it where needed. After further inspection the divider was not only cheap and flimsy looking it was absolutely unstable. It would wobble and appears to have been assembled in a rush making some panels crooked. I noted significant damage to the bottom portion of some of the panels both front and back. It does not feel like an item worth the price. The color is as advertised and the product had no smell. The sizing was accurate.

Great! This surge protector is well designed and built for specific needs.
Nice surge protector/power strip. Good layout of outlets and the one spaced apart is really good. I also love the fact it comes with not two or three USB outlets, but four of them! This is great because there is plenty of room to plug in other devices. The tiny led lights are very small but do light up enough to see that the device is on. The on/off switch works great too and was a must have for my setup. 5 ft of cord length is just what I needed to mount the strip on the wall. (Install screws included) The flat angled plug for the wall is also just what I needed so the design here is perfect. A great value!

All The Right Features, and Well-Made
This power strip had everything I was looking for: 6 ft. cord, right-angle plug, at least 2 USB ports, white plastic case, wall-mountable, and at least 4 AC power outlets. All of that might sound pretty straightforward, but this TROND power strip is one of the very few models that meets all the criteria.
Here's what I like about power strips in general, and this TROND model specifically:
1. Right-angle plug. A must in my book. Get a right-angle plug whenever possible. They are almost always more convenient and better-looking than straight standard plugs.
2. At least 1 transformer-spaced outlet. If the AC outlets are all too close together, you'll end up sacrificing 1 or 2 of them with a "wall wart" transformer. Just about everybody is plugging in at least one of these outlet-hogging transformers these days.
3. USB power ports. Like transformers, just about everybody has USB-powered stuff to plug in. If you don't have USB ports built into the power strip, then you have to use the USB power adapter which hogs up an AC outlet. I've got at least 2 USB devices to plug into this power strip at any given time, so having the built-in ports is very convenient. Another must in my book.
I also like this TROND model for the little touches that make it a bigger value than the price suggests:
1. Includes mounting screws. What? Wasn't expecting that. Very cool.
2. Includes a template for drilling the mounting holes. What? I've never even seen that before. Even cooler.
3. An actual user's manual - in English - and well-written. That blew me away. I totally don't need a user's manual for a power strip, but it was very classy to see it in the box. Well played, TROND.
4. Expensive-looking power switch and power light. This power strip is much better looking than other cheap strips. The plastic is high-quality and "Apple" looking, the power switch is a cut above the generic switches in this price range, and the power indicator light a slick hidden LED that makes the whole package feel high-end.
I have expensive power strips from Monster, Belkin, and Tripp-Lite, and this TROND unit appears better made and has fancier features. I'll definitely buy another TROND power strip when the time comes.
