A beautifully preserved mid‑century Carvanite Shuffle Cut card shuffler, made in the USA by Lea Industries of Oak Park, Illinois. This sculptural maroon piece was designed to help players practice an even riffle shuffle, keeping cards aligned while protecting the deck edges.
The underside is fully signed:
“SHUFFLE CUT for Playing Cards — Made in USA by LEA INDUSTRIES — Box #29 — Oak Park, ILL — Pat. Pending.”
This model is one of the classic Lea Industries forms, produced in the 1950s–1960s and used in bridge clubs, card rooms, and home game tables. The Carvanite plastic has a rich, deep maroon tone with a soft sheen.
Very good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age.
