Connect your Feather to the Internet with this fine new FCC-certified WiFi module from Atmel. This 802.11bgn-capable WiFi module is the best new thing for networking your devices, with built-in low-power management capabilites, Soft-AP, SSL TLS 1.2 support and rock solid performance. We were running our adafruit.io MQTT demo for a full weekend straight with no hiccups (it would have run longer but we had to go to work, so we unplugged it). This module is very fast & easy to use in comparison to other WiFi modules we've used in the past.
This module works with 802.11b, g, or n networks & supports WEP, WPA and WPA2 encryption. You can connect to your own WiFi networks or create your own with "Soft AP" mode, where it becomes its own access point (we have an example of it creating a webserver that you can then control the Arduino's pins). You can clock it as fast as 12MHz for speedy, reliable packet streaming. And scanning/connecting to networks is very fast, just a second or two.
You might be wondering why use this when you can get a HUZZAH Feather? Well, you get:
- A highly-capable Cortex M0+ processor with ton more I/O pins, lots of 12-bit ADCs, a 10-bit DAC, 6 total SERCOMs that can each do SPI, I2C or UART (3 are used by the existing interfaces, leaving you 3), plenty of timers, PWMs, DMA, native USB, and more (check out the Datasheet)
- The ATWINC has much lower power usage, about 12mA for the WINC & 10mA for the ATSAMD21 with auto-powermanagement on for the WiFi and no power management for the ARM. With manual power management, you can get the WiFi module to down to ~2mA by putting it to sleep.
- This is compared to the ESP's ~70mA average current draw, and whose deep sleep mode requires a WDT reset.
- We also found that we could stream more reliably (less 'bursty') with the ATWINC, although altogether the ESP has higher throughput.
- You also dont have to 'yield' all the time to the WiFi core, since its a separate chip. You get full reign of the processor and timing
- Of course, both WiFi-capable Feathers have their strengths and tradeoffs, & we love both equally!
At the Feather M0's heart is an ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex M0 processor, clocked at 48 MHz and at 3.3V logic, the same one used in the new Arduino Zero. This chip has a whopping 256K of FLASH (8x more than the Atmega328 or 32u4) and 32K of RAM (16x as much)! This chip comes with built in USB so it has USB-to-Serial program & debug capability built in with no need for an FTDI-like chip. For advanced users who are comfortable with ASF, the SWDIO/SWCLK pins are available on the bottom, and when connected to a CMSIS-DAP debugger can be used to use Atmel Studio for debugging.
To make it easy to use for portable projects, we added a connector for any of our 3.7V Lithium polymer batteries and built in battery charging. You don't need to use a battery, it will run just fine straight from the micro USB connector. But, if you do have a battery, you can take it on the go, then plug in the USB to recharge. The Feather will automatically switch over to USB power when its available. We also tied the battery through a divider to an analog pin, so you can measure and monitor the battery voltage to detect when you need a recharge.
Here's some handy specs! Like all Feather M0's you get:
- Measures 2.1" x 0.9" x 0.3" (53.65mm x 23mm x 8mm) without headers soldered in. Note it is 0.1" longer than most Feathers
- Light as a (large?) feather - 6.1 grams
- ATSAMD21G18 @ 48MHz with 3.3V logic/power
- 256KB FLASH, 32KB SRAM, No EEPROM
- 3.3V regulator (AP2112K-3.3) with 600mA peak current output, WiFi can draw 300mA peak during xmit
- USB native support, comes with USB bootloader and serial port debugging
- You also get tons of pins - 20 GPIO pins
- Hardware Serial, hardware I2C, hardware SPI support
- 8 x PWM pins
- 10 x analog inputs
- 1 x analog output
- Built in 200mA lipoly charger with charging status indicator LED
- Pin #13 red LED for general purpose blinking
- Power/enable pin
- 4 mounting holes
- Reset button
Comes fully assembled and tested, with a USB bootloader that lets you quickly use it with the Arduino IDE. We also toss in some header so you can solder it in and plug into a solderless breadboard. Lipoly battery and MicroUSB cable not included (but we do have lots of options in the shop if you'd like!)
Note: This version does not come with an onboard antenna, you will need a uFL connector antenna such as 2.4GHz Mini Flexible WiFi Antenna - not included! We have a version with on-board antenna as well.

Excellent Customer Service and the Cover is Perfect

I have already purchased 2 of the pillows that go with the Snuggle-Pedic Zipper Removable Pillow Cover. Neither of the pillows I purchased had a zipper on the pillow cases. I bought my pillows at different times, the oldest pillow's case recently didn't do well in the laundry and got somewhat frayed. Not in too horrible condition, but I'm rather OCD. I admit I panicked a bit, I love my pillows! But then I discovered they sell the pillow cases with zippers that would allow me to replace my pillow case and not lose my awesome pillow. Perfect! I bought one. And, I am happy to say, that's just the beginning of my review.
A day after purchasing the seller contacted me and explained how the pillow case worked. I was very pleased and grateful - glad I didn't have to struggle with it then rush back and beg for info. Nope, they had it all laid out and made it super easy.
I got my pillow case, replaced my torn one and my Snuggle-Pedic pillow is good as new!
Excellent service! Excellent Products! I highly recommend them. Oh, and if you haven't tried the Snuggle-Pedic Pillows you are seriously missing out! As a side sleeper, I couldn't live without mine now!

Fits like a glove!

I recently had to buy new latex pillows because our old ones were beginning to shred after too many years. The old ones had a really nice cover on them that they came with and lasted as long as the pillows. The new queen size pillows came with a cover meant for a king-size and they were super thin and flimsy. The manufacturer tried to tell me it's so they could shrink in the wash. You can imagine the review I left!
I looked at almost every cover Amazon had on the site and decided to bite the bullet and spend more on these. I'm really glad I did. They fit the pillows like a glove and keep the pillowcases from trying to slip off during the night because they're not slick. They're not sticky either and it is easy to put on the pillowcase. They are quite a bit thicker than any other cover I have ever had and do tend to change the density of the pillow just a bit because of it. I'm not having a problem with the change and it is very minor. I will absolutely buy this case again if the need should arise.
I can't comment on the allergy stuff because we have latex pillows, to begin with so no allergens.
I see people complaining about the zipper and just can't quite understand that but perhaps they changed it before I bought mine. I do have to recommend putting the zipper end into the pillowcase first to protect you from feeling a zipper at night but I do this with any protector not just this one.

Love

I love, Love, LOVE the pillow this case is for. I cannot sleep without it. It is seriously one of my most prized possessions. I love that I can throw it in a (big) washing machine whenever I get grossed out about dust mites. However, throwing an extra big ass pillow in the wash is not always easy and takes too dang long sometimes. Plus, I need my lover, I mean pillow, to last as long as possible, so this pillowcase was a necessity. Fits like a glove, uses the same material as the pillow, which is soft and glorious, and is way way way easier to wash. A must have for your pillow.
Update: After a little over two years of daily use and regular washes, the zipper broke. The pillow itself is still going strong, and everything else about the case is still in near perfect shape.

Very comfortable and supportive.
I really am quite amazed with these pillows. As with most people who suffer from neck and back pain it's almost impossible to find a comfortable pillow. One year I must have went through 20 sets trying to find the right pillow. I received these and they were flat in the package. All you have to do is take them out and fluff them up a little bit with your hand and let them sit overnight. What's really nice about these is they are soft and cushy but they have a support that does not flatten when you lay down. Of note when I was looking for pillows, I noticed that these had a price of $110 which was crossed out and then a huge discount. Looking at the item now I see that the top price for the king size is $42. So I'm going to say that $110 was a comparison of what a good pillow might cost. I do want you to know that a set of pillows that I had been using were $200 a piece and these are very comparable to that. I am not having any issues overheating with these as I have a very nice cover on them. They are washable. My neck feels totally better. So all in all I am quite impressed with these pillows and very surprised that the first set I ordered is working perfectly for me. I am a side sleeper and needed my neck to be straight and these do the job with a nice little cushion on them.
