Over the course of his 21-year career, Carter slugged 324 home runs along with a .264 batting average and 1,225 RBIs. Furthermore, Carter received numerous accolades throughout the course of his illustrious career, including but not limited to: 11x All-Star (1975, 1979-1988), World Series Champion (1986), 3x Gold Glove Award (1980-1982), 5x Silver Slugger Award (1981, 1982, 1984-1986), Roberto Clemente Award (1989), and he was the NL RBI leader in 1984. Finally, his number (8) was retired by the Montreal Expos and he was enshrined into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003 - the first member to be inducted donning an Expos cap.
