The original MT410 delivered 1/8th scale performance with a 1/10th scale label. However, in 2023 we released the MT410 2.0, a true 1/10th scale monster truck, which caused some confusion in the community. The brand new MT48 2.0 sets the record straight—not just in name, but in purpose and design—with a true 1/8th scale footprint, updated geometry, and a chassis built for today’s demanding bashers. Designed by passionate racers who also live for big air and extreme stunts, the MT48 2.0 is engineered to thrive where other trucks tap out.

Built on 20 years of Tekno RC innovation, the MT48 2.0 is packed with updates that enhance performance, simplify assembly, and extend product life. It sports a longer 7075 aluminum chassis that fits a wide range of 1/10th and 1/8th scale bodies, making it versatile for custom builds. Under the hood, you’ll find new body mounts that accommodate more shell options, as well as updated, beefy front arms and new spindles attached to new spindle carriers with solid kingpins. The rear end features arms and hubs from our proven ET/NT48 2.2 truggies. Both ends are now bolted to the chassis with larger 5mm inner hinge pins supported by new steel composite hinge pin braces. Racers and bashers alike can benefit from the long list of shared and interchangeable components.

The MT48 2.0’s drivetrain features full race-spec universal drive shafts on all corners, supported by large 12x21x5mm and 8x16x5mm bearings. The differentials are based on the current 2.2 race specification with a larger center differential capacity, all designed to survive the most demanding bash sessions. The enclosed center differential and preset motor mount will protect and simplify your setup. Finishing out the drivetrain, we included CNC machined hardened steel ring and pinion gears.

Equal-length 16mm aluminum shock bodies front and rear wrapped in new electric-blue springs provide balanced damping. The shocks, with all new shock boots that seal out dust and reduce tearing, attach to all new 5mm thick CNC machined 7075 aluminum towers front and rear. Molded shock tower braces allow for an optional center chassis brace for added stiffness.

Additional durability upgrades include steel pivotballs throughout and full-size monster truck bumpers and skid plates to absorb brutal impacts and protect your chassis. The included wheelie bar encourages show-stopping tricks while adding rear-end protection. Every inch of this new monster truck has been meticulously reviewed to ensure the longest possible worry-free sessions of pure fun!
