I love to paint all sorts of animals; birds, donkeys, cats, and butterflies, but of all the creatures I love to paint, cows have the most special place in my heart. I think it may be because they were the first animal I laid eyes on when I was a baby. I unconsciously grew to love their bodies' shape, posture, and naive facial expressions. It is the animal I connect with the most. They are sympathetic, always friendly, and of course, very nice to paint.
