1 CD"La La Land" doubles down on the intricate proggy-pop displayed on Guided By Voices' last album "Tremblers And Goggles By Rank". On a hot streak of critical acclaim, Robert Pollard continues expanding his songwriting towards extremes of prettiness, heaviness and poeticism. As always, unforgettable hooks are everywhere.
But with this latest, it seems Pollard is playing with the extremes of his abilities as a songwriter, emboldened by the power of this lineup now on their fourteenth album together since 2017. The prettiest stuff is prettier than ever ("Queen Of Spaces") and odder, more complex songs like "Slowly On The Wheel" combine minimalism, whimsy, and cinematic inclinations.
There are the exquisite power pop bangers that fans come to expect while other tracks effortlessly display a cranked-up weight and complexity most bands could never muster. Celebrating forty years in 2023 with their thirty-eighth album, GBV has lately been garnering rave reviews from Rolling Stone, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, Uncut, MOJO, Shindig, Paste, Popmatters, The Quietus, and many more.

I always ignore the buyer beware post but this is a buyer beware post!
I purchased this product based on the reviews I read. Please do not purchase. The cartridge is totally different from the brand version
The part of the cartridge that should be fastened and locked into the pen is shaped in a circle , on the pen the Parr is rectangle . The original cartridge has a circular downward pattern to help lock the cartridge into the machine on the replacement cartridge there's no ridges it just slides down so it doesn't fit in no way shape form or fashion. I tried to alter the circular piece to make it fit by filing, burning and reshaping the plastic in an attempt to change the shape to a rectangle to fit it doesn't work the entire cartridge does not fit into the machine it's a waste of money for product that can't be returned or used. Buyer beware!

Great insights and easy to understand
Format: Paperback
I love the Passion Translation. I look forward to Exodus and some of the other books being translated in the Old Testament. Right now I have all that are available including the New Testament.
