This electrifying original artwork by Mark Sloper, a former friend of Frank Sinatra, represents a fusion between Mark's love for punk as well as Sinatra's music. Bold, bright and bonkers, the punk artist combines his many years working in the film and music industry with his expertise in the field of neon gas. Although as a younger punk rebel Mark rejected Sinatra's music, the artist now realises and loves the singer's incredible talent and contribution to music, even accompanying Sinatra on his final shows in the UK.

Electrically certified, the neon lights in this piece are safe and economical to use and can change over time to give a different ambience to your artwork. What's more, this neon artwork can live on for many years, by taking it to a neon specialist you can get the lights re-gassed thus, bringing them back to their original vibrancy and glow in your home. The incredible properties of this natural gas as an artistic medium, gives Mark's paintings a unique organic life force.

Invented in the late 19th century, neon came to be associated with cutting-edge glamour in the 1930s and 1940s before being harnessed by pop artists in the 1960s due to its association with advertising. Andy Warhol described neon as "one of the great modern things" and, later in the 1990s, it was used again as a core artistic medium by The Young British Artists group. Across its short history, neon has continued to captivate audiences and artists across the world and American artist Bruce Nauman, who is credited with being the grandfather of neon, was on exhibition at the Tate Modern in 2020 and 2021 which attracted thousands of visitors every day.

Used Watch?
Color: Black/Gray/Digital
The watch is great but the watch had been worn. The protective film was removed and it was loose in the watch box and not on the plastic holder. I bought a new watch not a used one. Joe

My last Timex and why.
Color: Black/Gray/Digital, Color: Black/Gray/Digital
New edit. Upon further reflection, I’ve only had, a couple of exploratory years with Swatch excepted, Timex watches. My first one was when my mother replaced the Chicita Banana “tickity tock” sticker with a real Timex wind up watch before my first Cub Scout camp. In addition to many other Timex products, I’ve had these Ironman watches for the past 25+years. Usually the band wears out and can’t be replaced after three or four years. This particular watch fell apart less than six weeks old. It wasn’t hit by impact. It just came apart while I was driving down the road. I wonder if they’ve changed their manufacturing process. See photo for details. What is truly infuriating is that rather than replacing it, because it is truly a warranty issue, the told me to ship it to their offshore repair facility (which could take 3-5 months) and pay what might be half the value of the watch. Things happen, but the intentional friction they have created to avoid their obligations borders on malpractice and speaks to their indifference toward customer experience and subsequent lifetime value.

As expected
Color: Gray/Gray/Digital
Just an old school digital timex. Tried and true. Has both 12hr and 24hr function on the time setting. Has a standard stop watch and timer. The battery is great, just as it always is on a timex. Good water resistance and very easy to use. Overall very good watch for the price!
