The ExtremeSwitching X435-24T-4S is an economical, standalone Ethernet switch purpose-built for distributed enterprises, branch offices, and small sites that demand a dependable, value-based edge solution. Designed to maximize performance without complexity, this 24-port gigabit switch provides a solid foundation for growing networks, delivering reliable Layer 2 switching, straightforward management, and flexible uplink options. The X435-24T-4S blends affordability with essential enterprise-grade features, making it ideal for cost-conscious organizations seeking to deploy secure, scalable edge connectivity in a compact form factor. With its straightforward configuration and robust security and QoS capabilities, the X435-24T-4S helps keep local traffic local, reduces latency, and ensures consistent user experiences across the office floor, the retail counter, or the small campus environment.

Engineered for easy deployment, the X435-24T-4S provides a dependable mix of performance and simplicity. It combines 24 x 1G Ethernet ports with 4 SFP uplink ports, enabling versatile connectivity for workstations, printers, IP phones, wireless access points, and servers. The switch is designed to handle day-to-day network demands with a non-blocking or near non-blocking forwarding path, delivering fast frame forwarding and low latency suitable for voice, video, and data traffic. Administrators benefit from an intuitive management experience, including a web-based GUI and CLI options, along with SNMP for seamless integration into centralized monitoring and alerting systems. This makes it a compelling choice for edge deployments where IT teams need predictable performance without the complexity of high-end core switches.

Beyond raw ports and speed, the X435-24T-4S emphasizes intelligent features that improve security, reliability, and network quality of service. Virtual LANs (VLANs) segment traffic to reduce broadcast domains and improve security, while access control lists (ACLs) protect critical devices and services from unauthorized access. Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities help ensure that latency-sensitive applications, such as VoIP and unified communications, receive priority over less critical traffic. Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Link Aggregation (LACP), and LLDP support provide resilience and straightforward integration into larger networks. The switch is built for compact environments, offering a compact 1U form factor suitable for rack mounting or desktop placement, with a design that emphasizes quiet operation and low power consumption, making it well-suited for office spaces and retail environments where noise is a concern.

Administrative flexibility is a cornerstone of the X435-24T-4S. IT teams can configure and monitor the device locally via a highly usable web UI or through the command-line interface, providing familiar tools for network engineers. Monitoring and management are enhanced with standard features such as SNMP, syslog, and remote management capabilities, enabling centralized oversight from existing network management platforms. The card’s plug-and-play readiness reduces deployment time, while its reliable hardware and software foundations help administrators stay ahead of everyday networking challenges, including changing work patterns, additional devices, and evolving security requirements.

In terms of security, the X435-24T-4S helps protect the perimeter of the edge with standard security features such as user authentication, basic ACLs, and secure management access. These capabilities help prevent unauthorized devices from impacting network performance and protect sensitive data traversing edge segments. In addition, its energy-efficient design and efficient cooling contribute to lower operating costs and a smaller environmental footprint, making it a practical choice for organizations looking to optimize power usage without compromising performance.

Overall, the ExtremeSwitching X435-24T-4S is a practical, budget-friendly edge switch that delivers the essential Ethernet connectivity and management features needed by distributed enterprises. It provides a reliable, scalable platform for small sites to connect users and devices securely while maintaining straightforward administration and predictable performance. I recently purchased the Timex Unisex Ironman Classic 30 34mm Watch, and it has exceeded my expectations in terms of functionality, durability, and style. First and foremost, the watch's design is sleek and unisex, making it suitable for a variety of wrist sizes and both casual and sporty occasions. The 34mm face strikes a perfect balance, providing clear visibility of the time without feeling bulky on the wrist. One of the standout features of this timepiece is its reliability. The Best for Athletics
Color: Black/Gray
This is a sleek, light wristwatch that will not weigh you down with its bulk. Forget the gigantic profile of a "survivalist" wristwatch. This unisex model is svelte and slim, not adding much to the wake you generate while swimming, or the swing of your arms while running, or the wind as it passes around your wrists and hands while you are speeding by on your racing bike. This is only 34mm across, by 35mm tall, by 11.5mm thick. The wristband is 13mm at its median working width. Timex styling cannot be beat, and neither is the resin-rubber-like material. I don't know about you, but the price is something I take a good look at. I want a watch that is reasonably priced and high-quality. I don't want to spend $200 to $1000 on a watch and worrying about being careful with it. If it gets smashed, it's only $30 to $50, not a big loss, and the quality is way better than what they were making in the 1980's. These watches are made for athletics and the real world.

Great watch, flimsy band
Color: Gray/Lilac
I bought this watch to replace a similar model because the band broke. I see this is a recurrent problem in many other reviews. However, I liked the watch enough to buy it again anyway. I found the new model easy to set, being fairly intuitive. So far it keeps perfect time. I use this watch mainly as a travel watch, and loved the dual time zone function. I am pleased that the newer model now has the ability to set 3 times zones instead of 2, which is an added bonus. The only con I see at this point is the flimsy strap. Unfortunately, the strap on this model is even thinner than on the previous one, and I wonder how long it will last. Also I wonder about the battery length. I think these watches may have been sitting around a long time. The setting showed 2012. I am afraid much of the battery life of the original battery may have already been used up and the battery may need replacing early. Only time will tell. The watch fits my small wrist fine and it is a little more attractive than the old model. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the band problem.

Fine for a man (with skinny wrists)
Color: Black/Gray, Color: Black/Gray
I have an older mens ironman which has gotten a little beat up and needs replacing. The band is much longer than I need. The metal clasp sits off-center on the underside of my wrist, closer to the part of my wrist which curves around to the front. The too-long strap sometimes flops around and catches on things. I couldn't find a smaller-band mens version, so I tried this "womens" watch (picking the most manly-looking one, of course). I like it better. The band fits my wrist much better, with the metal band in the middle and no flop. I also like that the watch is lighter and the face and band are smaller and less bulky, so it is less noticeable when I'm wearing it (cycling weight weenies will appreciate this). The face is still large enough to be easily legible and contains all of the same great features as my mens ironman watch, plus the newer versions now have an hourly chime, nice! Other info: my wrist is ~17.5cm or ~7.0" around. On this watch, I use the 6th out of 9 slots on the band. On my mens ironman, I use the 3rd out of 9 slots. Weight: this one = 28g, mens = 39g. Pics show comparison of my prior mens ironman with this new "womens" ironman. Photo order is confusing (couldn't figure out how to change that). They are: (1) side-by-side, mens on left, (2) mens band (wider and clasp is off-center on my wrist, end of band hangs over the edge of my wrist -- too long for me -- catches on things), (3) womens band (less wide, clasp is more centered on my wrist and end does hang over edge of my wrist), (3) womens watch (smaller, and looks new), and (5) mens watch, looking a little beat up.
