Named after the infamous Swedish cigarette brand, Gula Blend have made a name for themselves during their short career as an energetic and captivating live band. With their melodic, garage-tinged, indie rock Gula Blend treat the crude everyday life, good and bad relations and the simple art form of procrastinating one's well-being.
Late 2020, the band released their debut LP 'Inte idag' on Rama Lama Records and got nominated as "Newcomer of The Year" at the Swedish Indie Awards Manifest. 'Inte idag' is a record that sees their straight-forward energetic sound taken to a new level. Spanning over eight tracks packed with instantly appealing garage-tinged melodies, the band treats the crude everyday life, good and bad relations and the simple art form of procrastinating one's well-being with a grand DIY-sound well rooted within a Swedish indie tradition and at the same time adding new and revitalizing classic elements.
At the moment, Gula Blend consist of Jesper Pettersson (guitar, vocals), Lukas Feurst (drums, song), Petter Enghed (bass), Måns Pettersson (guitar), Oscar Johansson (saxophone) and Stina Norberg (vocals, tambourine). The forthcoming LP was recorded by the band and Erik Sunding in Tambourine studios and various rehearsal spaces, mastered by Joakim Lindberg and with cover art by Ylvasara Ekeram.

Döpta efter det ökända cigarettmärket har Gula Blend under sin korta karriär gjort ett namn för sig själva som en av landets bättre nya liveakter. Genom sin energiska indie/garage rock/pop visualiserar Gula Blend den råa vardagen, bra och mindre bra relationer samt den enkla konsten i att prokrastinera sitt välmående.
I december 2020 släpptes via Rama Lama Records debutalbumet 'Inte idag' som över åtta kvicka, direkta och farligt beroendeframkallande spår är en perfekt introduktion till ett band vars skeva men melodiska sound känns bekant och nytt på samma gång. Bandet nominerades till årets nykomling på Manifestgalan.
Den 2 juni kommer uppföljaren 'Allt har hänt', ett album där man polerat det direkta DIY-soundet från debuten utan att tappa känslan. Tidigare i år släpptes första smakprovet 'Helt hel', en rivig och energisk indie power pop-låt och nu kommer 'En tjusig kväll'. 'En tjusig kväll' är en rocklåt i poptempo som handlar om hur snabbt en dag kan gå från bra till dålig.
För tillfället består Gula Blend av Oscar Johansson på sax, Lukas Feurst på trummor och sång, Stina Norberg på tamburin och sång, Petter Enghed på bas, Måns Pettersson på gitarr och Jesper Pettersson på gitarr och sång. Det stundande albumet spelades in i Tambourine studios och diverse replokaler av bandet samt Erik Sunding, Sunding har även mixat albumet och Joakim Lindberg mastrat.

Fae Courts with High Intrigue
Format: Kindle
This book is one that just builds and builds and then surprises you to no end. You may think you know the villains and then you are jolted in another direction. Princess Reyna is a real gem, strong of character, a fierce fighter, and loyal to her family and kingdom. Just when you think she and Lorcan, well you know, the plot is flipped. Can't wait to see where this goes in book two.

Slow, sorry but good

This was a slow moving book. Lots of character pov chapters, lots of superfluous descriptions and endless courtly appearances stalled this book to start. Once you get into the heart of the story, it takes off. Before you know it the book is done. My favorite character is Reyna. She is so strong. She is true to herself. She gets into a lot of trouble with her headstrong ways but it's entertaining. I have high hopes for Lorcan. He is honorable to a fault. Thane had turned out to be better than I thought but i still don't like him. Eislin is useless. Great plot twists at the end. I'm looking forward too book 2.

Very detailed! Beautiful world building! Strong Heroine!

Starts off a little slow and confusing with different POV’s, but starts to all come together towards the middle to make an elaborate plot line and makes it all worth it. Beautiful world building and attention to detail as well as great writing. The cliffhanger was gut wrenching! Can’t wait for the next book!

Interesting

This was a very captivating book once you got into it thoroughly. But the third person perspective was a bit hard to get used to. But as you got into it and followed the different characters, it was interesting and filled with intrigue, conflict and forbidden love.
I can’t wait to read the next one and to complete the series.
