We discovered this aran hat simply puts a smile on your face every time you wear it.  Even the chilliest, bleakest day becomes the perfect excuse to head outdoors - looking effortlessly gorgeous. A little bit of magic!

Knitted in our sumptuous, traditional aran-weight Pure Wensleydale wool, this design features a beautifully textured cable pattern that’s surprisingly easy to master. It’s part of our Home Farm collection of easy-to-follow knitting patterns, perfect for relaxed, enjoyable making.

At Home Farm Wensleydales, everything we do begins with animal care, welfare, and good husbandry. Our luxurious wool is crafted from our finest fleeces, carefully washed and spun in Yorkshire. The result is a soft, smooth, silky yarn with a natural lustre, worsted spun for excellent stitch definition.

Our pure longwool yarns are wonderfully versatile - ideal for a wide range of knitting and crochet projects, alongside our own curated collection.

This Kit Contains:

• 125g (5 oz) Home Farm Wensleydales Pure Wensleydale Aran (worsted weight)

• Printed pattern with clear, easy-to-follow instructions

You Will Need:

• 4.5mm (US 7) circular needles and DPNs

• Stitch marker

• Tapestry needle for finishing

(Can also be knitted on straight needles if preferred—great as a first circular project!)

Finished Size:
Approx. 29cm (11.5") before turn-up (after washing and blocking)
Suitable for adults, with an optional smaller needle size for teenagers or older children

Colour Choices:
Shown here in Natural (undyed aran) and Brea, but available in a range of beautiful shades—choose your favourite.

Care Instructions:
Hand wash and dry flat (or use a gentle wool cycle if your machine allows).
