Free skein winding service.

DK (8 Ply, light-worsted) wool

Silky. Lustrous. Utterly gorgeous.

Meet your new favourite wool.  This is 100% pure Wensleydale wool, ethically produced and full of character - no blends, no fillers, just beautiful single-breed wool doing what it does best.

Each 100g (3.53 oz) skein of double knitting (8 ply, light worsted weight), spun to 4/8 Nm (BS984 compliant).  The result - a yarn that’s silky smooth, beautifully soft, and wonderfully lustrous, with stunning stitch definition and elegant drape.

This wool comes from our Home Farm collection and is washed and traditionally spun in Yorkshire, where longwool heritage runs deep. Because this is pure worsted-spun Wensleydale, there are no other longwool fibres added to bulk it out - just the real thing in all its glory.

Wensleydale is a joy to work with and knits to standard DK tension (or slightly finer), making it a versatile choice for both knitting and crochet. From cosy garments to textured accessories, it handles patterns like a dream.

 Why you’ll love it:

  • 100% pure Wensleydale single-breed wool

Great small soup bowls!
I bought these for a family party for soup. I was nervous they were going to be flimsy and cheap. I was pleasantly surprised how thick and sturdy they are! They were a perfect size for a smaller bowl of soup or chili. We even used them in the microwave for left overs and they held up great! There was no sagging or getting soggy which I was also worried about. They are definitely good quality. They are much better than the Walmart or cheap off brands. I also loved the price. I thought they were a great deal for the quality and quantity. The only con I had was some were hard to pull apart. It was no big deal though. I will definitely buy them again.

I Put 2 Raw Eggs in This Paper Bowl… (Video Included)
These paper bowls are smaller than standard size, and that’s actually exactly why I buy them. They’re perfect for kids’ snacks and portion control without overfilling or wasting food. I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy they are. These do not crumple easily like cheaper paper bowls, and they hold their shape well even when handled by kids throughout the day. We regularly use them for dry snacks like Goldfish crackers, cereal, and cookies, and a single bowl can last all afternoon through multiple refills. They are also leak-resistant, which I tested more aggressively than most people probably would. I cracked two raw eggs into one bowl, swirled them around, and set a timer. After a minute, I it held up (over my head) without it bending or collapsing. That alone sold me on the durability. The end result - no leaks. Zero. For the price, quality is excellent. If you’re looking for smaller bowls for snacks, portion control, these are a solid choice. These aren’t your typical flimsy paper bowls — they’re surprisingly durable for everyday use. Kitchen Chaos Tested™ — and they passed. ⭐️I included a video of paper bowls vs raw eggs, plus some photos for size reference

Sturdy and useful
Good plates, we used them all and had no spills or plate disasters. We used them for hot and cold food. Sturdy and saves me time on dishes! I also appreciate that they look nice even if it isn't for company. Great for draining bacon with a paper towel. So much easier. Also, from my home schooling days, these are great for kids when they want to paint. Holds the paint and it is somewhere to lay your brushes.
