The A-TAC is the only known goggle specifically designed for the needs of the fire fighter. Designed to meet the rigid standards of the NFPA 1971,1977,1951 standards. Passes the 500° 5 minute heat exposure test of the standard. Hard-coated outer lens with a superior anti-fog inner surface designed to meet the needs of this specific environment. Fits over most prescription, safety and sun protective spectacles.
Applications:
Structural fire fighting operations and other emergency operations where there is a threat of fire. Designed to meet ANSI Z87.1 for use where certain physical hazards are likely to be encountered, such as during non-fire-related salvage, rescue operations, emergency medical operations, and victim extraction.

Entertaining, informative, without being overwhelming.

Got it for, basically, half-off standard retail. At that price, it's a fine addition to the WWII library. Some interesting information displayed in a mostly entertaining way. I get that battle maps are always a challenge (maps are static - battles are dynamic). This does a fairly adequate job - better than most battle maps - though far from groundbreaking. item arrived well packed - no issues with binding (as some others seem to report). Though the book overall is a bit "warped" and several of the maps are mis-printed or mis-cut as to make them unusable. 3 bad out of 300 - not horrible - again at the price I paid. If the subject interest you - I'd suggest getting - but not a "must have".

For the history buff or student - this is worth the purchase
Format: Hardcover
Detailed, individual maps and history on the battles of World War II. It isn’t too overwhelming for the student and is an enjoyable read for the history buff. Hardback so it will ensure lots of reading and reviews, durable pages too (not those thin, flimsy, easily tearable pages!) - this book will likely stand the test of our schooling years and beyond.
