Fitting the Boston
With no strap over the forefoot, the Boston can feel less secure than Birkenstock sandals. Many of our customers -- even many who take the Regular/Wide width in their sandals -- prefer their Bostons in the Narrow/Medium width.
A common option is to go "up a size and narrow". If you take the Regular width in Birkenstock sandals, consider going up one size and ordering that in the Narrow/Medium width. For example, if your Birkenstock sandals are 38 Regular/Wide, you might feel very comfortable in a 39 Narrow/Medium Boston. (If your feet are genuinely wide, you should probably stick with the Regular/Wide width.)
