Vinyl LP pressing includes digital download. The Deslondes are a five-piece band from New Orleans. In the time between the release of their self-titled debut and new sophomore album, Hurry Home, The Deslondes have toured the world and drawn critical acclaim for their studied and inventive take on New Orleans country and R&B. Hurry Home represents a sonic shift from the countryfolk of their debut to a sometimes-psychedelic, electrified gospel-soul sound, with a stronger emphasis on organ and electric guitar. The band split up songwriting and lead vocal duties among it's five members, continuing it's democratic ethos and musical versatility. The sound may continue to draw comparisons to the country-funkiness of The Band, but The Deslondes were equally inspired by the sound of early Sun Records, the punchy rock and roll of VU-era Velvet Underground and the experimental pop of Joe Meek. Perhaps most importantly, Hurry Home is the sound of a band that understands the history of American music, but is deftly finding their own contemporary approach.

Great Lightweight Pullover
Color: Faded Denim Heather, Size: X-Large
I'm 5’8” and about 240 lbs, and I went with an XL for this light grey quarter-zip pullover. Fit is spot-on, not too tight, not overly baggy. The material is lightweight and breathable but still feels like it has some substance, making it perfect for layering or wearing on its own in mild weather.
The fabric has a nice stretch to it, which adds to the comfort and ease of movement, and it holds its shape well. The zipper is high quality, smooth to zip and feels durable.
Color is true to the description, a clean, versatile light grey that pairs easily with joggers or jeans.

I’m Team Maelreg!
Color: Dark Grey Heather, Size: 3X-Large
I’m a huge fan of Maelreg! I’ve purchased numerous polos, a hoodie, a pair of shirts, and some golf pants, as well as two of these quarter zips (and I currently have a third one in my Christmas list). I love the way they fit and the way they look. I’m a bigger guy too, so it’s not easy to find fashionable “ath-leisure” apparel that doesn’t make me look like a popped can of Pilsbury biscuit dough. The only thing close to a complaint I can think of is that these are a lightweight weight material and the collar doesn’t want to stand up on its own. I wish Maelreg made a medium weight version with a little sturdier of a collar, but that’s just me.

Nice fit!

Great fit. Very comfy. Not too heavy. (Think late spring, early fall weather.) Material and stitching seems high quality. Slightly stretchy fabric. We’ll see how it holds up to wear and washing, but so far so good. I’ve already purchased another in a different color.
