The Kensington MicroSaver 2.0 Keyed Twin Laptop Lock is the ultimate security companion for today’s connected workspace. Engineered for performance and designed for convenience, this compact lock system uses two secure 10mm lock heads that share a single key, so you can protect a laptop and an additional device—such as a monitor, external hard drive, printer, or docking station—without juggling multiple keys. At only 10mm in diameter per head, the Twin Lock Heads fit the slimmest laptops while still delivering robust security, making it ideal for classrooms, corporate offices, libraries, coworking spaces, and hot-desking environments. The patented Hidden Pin Technology provides anti-pick protection, so you can focus on your work with confidence that your devices are safeguarded in public or semi-public settings. Whether you’re traveling between meetings, moving between classrooms, or securing a workstation after hours, this lock delivers quick, reliable security with a single key solution.

  • Ultra-compact twin heads for slim devices: Each 10mm lock head is engineered to fit thin laptops and compact devices without adding bulk, ensuring a clean profile while maintaining strong security.
  • One-key access for multiple devices: The two lock heads share the same key, allowing you to secure a laptop and an equally valuable peripheral with a single, simple key turn.
  • Hidden Pin™ Technology for anti-pick security: The patented anti-pick mechanism adds a crucial layer of protection against tampering, helping to deter hot-wspot assaults and opportunistic thieves.
  • Durable construction for daily use: Built with hardened steel components and tamper-resistant hardware to withstand routine handling, travel, and a busy office environment.
  • Versatile compatibility for diverse workspaces: Designed for Kensington Security Slot (K-Slot) equipped devices and a range of peripherals, making it a practical choice for laptops, monitors, docking stations, and more.

How to install Kensington MicroSaver 2.0 Keyed Twin Laptop Lock

  • Verify compatibility: Check your device and peripherals for a Kensington Security Slot (K-Slot) to ensure optimal compatibility with the MicroSaver 2.0 Twin Lock heads.
  • Plan the setup: Choose a sturdy, immovable anchor point such as a fixed desk leg, a desk frame, or a heavy object that cannot be easily moved or toppled.
  • Route the cable: Wrap the hardened steel cable around the anchor and route it toward the device you want to secure, making sure it does not obstruct vents or ports.
  • Engage the lock heads: Insert each lock head into the corresponding security slot on the device and align securely. Turn the key to engage both heads simultaneously for a firm lock.
  • Test and store the key safely: Gently tug on the secured devices to confirm a solid lock. Keep the key in a secure location and consider adding a secondary lock for auxiliary equipment in shared spaces.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: Is the MicroSaver 2.0 Twin Lock compatible with all laptops? A: It is designed for devices with a Kensington Security Slot (K-Slot). If your device has the slot, you can secure it with the dual-lock heads using one key. For devices without a K-Slot, consider alternative Kensington security options designed for non-slot devices.
  • Q: Can I use one key to secure multiple peripherals? A: Yes. The Twin Lock Heads are keyed to the same key, allowing you to secure a laptop and additional peripherals such as a monitor, docking station, or external drive with a single key.
  • Q: Does the locking mechanism protect against tampering? A: Yes. The lock employs Hidden Pin™ Technology, a patented anti-pick feature that adds an extra layer of defense against common lock-picking techniques.
  • Q: What is the intended use environment for this lock? A: It is well-suited for offices, schools, libraries, hotels, co-working spaces, and any environment where devices may be left unattended for periods of time.
  • Q: Does it include spare keys? A: Package contents vary by retailer and region, but many bundles provide two keys for convenience and backup. Always verify what’s included when purchasing.

Great photo essay, history of aviation and space
i'm an engineer- worked rocket motors, and various satellite programs. this book was recommended by associate after visiting the museum at Langley. The pics are super, with short descriptions, and moderate on the tech. It's an amazing pulse of this wild history, and mostly is from America's lineage. St. Louis, Mercury, Atlas, and up to current Shuttle. There's also the SST, and unique turn of the century early birds. A fine read to be shared with a youngster (my son 10, digs it), or for the history or engineering buff. amazon has it cheaper than at the museum.

Essential reading for PowerPoint presenters.
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Cliff shows details how to improve our PowerPoint presentations. He gives concrete and simple steps to transform a message into a targeted presentation. All of us have suffered from presenters who went over their allotted time because they had vital information to give us, yet we still didn't know their main point. Many have seen slide decks burdened with dozens of bullet points. Did the volume of points yield more clarity or did they dull our ability to focus on the message? Probably not. Read Cliff's book. Follow his method and you'll be a more effective presenter.

Useful with some scientific corroboration
Format: Paperback
Worth it as a primer to slide content and how it inter-relates to the delivery when giving a presentation. Very slightly laboured, like most TV documentaries nowadays - you feel they could move a bit faster (...yeah we got it the first time).

Simple and streamlined to meet anyone's needs
Format: Paperback
This book rocks! It provide a simple and structured way to define, develop and deliver a "Kick Ass" presentation that you can project or just use from the podium. It bring the audio and visual together to compliment a story to be shared. It has taken the hassel factor out of designing a presentation for anyone on any subject. Thank you!

Lasting value but degraded presentation
Format: Paperback
I've been a BBP fan since the first edition in 2005. The second edition in 2007 was a significant update and refinement. The latest, 2011 edition, is not worth buying if you already have the second edition -- the information is essentially the same but the 2011 is printed on cheap paper and the contrast between text and background for most of the illustrations is lousy, e.g. black text on a dark grey background, white text on a light grey background. I found it very difficult to read. The online version (O'Reilly Safari Books OnLine) is slightly better because it allows you to magnify the low contrast images which makes them slightly more legible. Thankfully, access to the online version is included with the ink-on-paper book free via a scratch-off, lottery ticket-type insert at the back of the book. If I had to do it again, I'd skip the paper book from Amazon and just purchase electronic access via O'Reilly. This version is more legible and you can print important pages that you might want hard copies of to highlight, mark-up, etc.
