Unlock extreme NVMe performance with the ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Gen 4 Card, a dedicated PCIe expansion solution built for creators, enthusiasts, and power users who demand maximum drive density and blistering speeds. This ASUS M.2 to PCI Express Adapter transforms a single PCIe slot into a compact four-slot NVMe RAID powerhouse, letting you scale storage for 4K video editing, large-scale 3D rendering, database workloads, or fast scratch disks. Engineered for both AMD and Intel platforms, it combines a robust power design, efficient cooling, and broad NVMe compatibility to deliver reliable, sustained performance under demanding workloads.

  • Four NVMe M.2 slots for massive storage expansion: The card supports four NVMe M.2 drives in common lengths (2242/2260/2280/22110), enabling high-density RAID configurations. This makes it ideal for creative workflows that require large, fast scratch disks or for data-intensive workloads that benefit from parallel throughput across multiple drives.
  • Broad compatibility across AMD and Intel platforms: Designed to work with AMD TRX40 and X570 motherboards using PCIe 4.0 NVMe RAID, as well as Intel platform RAID-on-CPU configurations, the adapter provides flexible installation options across different system builds and generations.
  • High theoretical bandwidth up to 256 Gbps: With four NVMe lanes feeding the drives, the card enables substantial sustained throughput for sequential reads and writes. While actual performance depends on drive choice and system configuration, this design is optimized for demanding workloads that benefit from parallel NVMe access.
  • Two-phase power design delivering up to 14W: The dedicated two-phase power solution ensures stable, ample power to all four drives, promoting consistent performance during long, heavy workloads and helping to prevent throttling during peak activity.
  • Efficient cooling with a large heatsink: A substantial heatsink is engineered to dissipate heat efficiently, maintaining drive performance and longevity even when four NVMe drives operate simultaneously at high speeds. Thermal management helps sustain peak performance and reliability over extended use.

Technical Details of Asus M.2 to PCI Express Adapter

  • Interface: PCIe 4.0/3.0 compatibility, enabling use with both PCIe 4.0-enabled and PCIe 3.0 systems depending on motherboard capabilities.
  • RAID and performance: Supports NVMe RAID on AMD TRX40/X570 platforms and RAID-on-CPU configurations on Intel-based systems, delivering accelerated multi-drive throughput where supported.
  • Power delivery: Two-phase power design providing up to 14W of output to support multiple NVMe drives under load.
  • Thermal management: Large heatsink designed to keep drives cool for sustained performance and reliable operation in demanding workloads.
  • Form factor: PCIe add-in card designed for desktop workstations and enthusiast builds needing high-density NVMe expansion.
  • Drive compatibility: Supports the latest NVMe drives, enabling modern endurance and speed improvements across diverse use cases.

how to install Asus M.2 to PCI Express Adapter

To install this adapter and start maximizing NVMe storage performance, follow these steps carefully. Ensure you have a compatible motherboard with an available PCIe x16 or supported slot and adequate clearance for the card and its heatsink. Prepare your NVMe drives and a backup plan for data safety before configuring a RAID array.

  • Power down your computer completely and unplug from the power source to prevent electrical damage during installation.
  • Open your system case and locate an appropriate PCIe slot that can accommodate the ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 card. Ensure there is enough clearance around the heatsink to prevent contact with other components.
  • Insert the ASUS adapter into the PCIe slot, pressing gently until it seats securely. Use any mounting screws or brackets provided by your case to stabilize the card if required.
  • Install up to four NVMe M.2 drives into the card’s slots. Verify drive lengths (2242/2260/2280/22110) and ensure each drive is properly seated with the connectors securely engaged.
  • Connect any required power connectors if your specific motherboard or card design requires additional power delivery. Some configurations rely on the motherboard’s PCIe slot for power, while others may need supplemental power.
  • Close the case, reconnect power, and boot into your system BIOS/UEFI. Configure the NVMe RAID setup as needed (RAID levels, boot priority, and cache settings) according to your performance and redundancy requirements.
  • Boot into your operating system and initialize the drives if necessary. Install any required motherboard or chipset drivers to ensure full PCIe/NVMe functionality and optimal performance.

Frequently asked questions

Q: How many NVMe drives can I install with this adapter?

A: The ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Gen 4 Card supports four NVMe M.2 drives (sizes 2242/2260/2280/22110), allowing you to build a high-capacity, high-throughput NVMe RAID configuration.

Q: Is this expansion card compatible with PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 3.0 motherboards?

A: Yes. It supports PCIe 4.0 and 3.0, making it suitable for AMD TRX40/X570 platforms with PCIe 4.0 NVMe RAID and Intel platforms with RAID-on-CPU functionality. Your actual performance will depend on your motherboard's PCIe revision and the NVMe drives used.

Q: What kind of power deliverable does the card require?

A: The card features a two-phase power design capable of up to 14W output to reliably drive multiple NVMe drives under heavy workloads without throttling.

Q: What cooling solution does the card provide?

A: It includes a large heatsink designed to dissipate heat effectively, helping to maintain drive performance during sustained, parallel NVMe operations.

Q: Can I use this card for non-RAID NVMe setups?

A: Yes. You can configure the drives in non-RAID modes if your workflow requires independent NVMe volumes, though RAID configurations are common to maximize throughput and convenience for large, concurrent workloads.

Ends in a cliffhanger
Format: Kindle
Thankfully, the next book is already available. Roxy Collins is the queen of omegaverse slow burn. This particular series is omegaverse with wolf shifters. Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Lots of suspense and trying to figure out what is true and what's really going on. I loved it! Pretty spicy once the action starts. Heats are pretty much always spicy. There is a little bit of male interaction, but not full-on shmex. Definitely recommend.

Epic!!!!
Format: Kindle
Absolutely addicted from the first page. The twists and turns, world building and character development all come together for the perfect Omegaverse. And let's not forget that spice because knots are life and these are spectacular. Running for book #2 because that cliffhanger was torturous.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
