For Rimarimba's 1984 album On Dry Land, Robert Cox advances along the terrain explored on Below The Horizon. It's an enchanting album, one which, at times, seems to comment on it's own practice; a picture of everyday life in the hobbyist's, or part-time musician's, recording studio. Some moments point towards the tourist-explorer aesthetic that would eventually coalesce under the banner of Fourth World music. Other moments where Cox seems to be channelling an otherness, a kind of hauntological reverie, the feeling of music that gives us an uncanny sense of déjà vu. Writer David Keenan's description of Japanese naïve-pop group Maher Shalal Hash Baz's music, that it "feels like sketches of places where we once were, places now made poignant by our absence" feels like an alternate take On Dry Land.

Everything but the net

This is a wonderful pickleball set for anyone from beginners to seasoned players. For those looking to start playing, it has everything but the net included. More seasoned players will appreciate the well designed paddles, with their light weight and comfortable grip. I bought a net in the fall for playing various sports and use that as well as some courts at a nearby park. The set is made to go anywhere with its sling-style carry bag that holds both the rackets and balls. I can even fit a snack, my phone and water bottle in there in addition to the tape. It’s a really affordable and accessible game to start playing. I highly recommend.

Thick indoor balls, of a darker pink color.

Good indoor pickleballs. The description said they were outdoor (thin crisp plastic) but they are thicker. By the picture on my pc monitor, they looked brighter pink than they actually are. I was hoping to use these outdoors in the early morning rising sun, on a blue court with yellow green edging, but the color is too dark to be of use. So when we move indoors for winter, we will use these indoor balls there. They arrived quickly and were well packaged.

Great but hard to see when playing!

The balls are great but when playing with them, if you wear glasses the ball is a little hard to see. We played with the orange, yellow and green balls, which are easier on the eyes. Otherwise, the balls are great! 😍

Great value

Although pickle ball snobs have told me these are NOT proper outdoor balls, I love them! Not only are they a fantastic color but I like the weight of them and they are great for outdoor play. As a bonus, they are well-priced, so I feel I got bang for my buck.

Bright color easy to see but not a great bounce on the outdoor court

I liked the fact that these balls were a bright color and easy to see but the bounce on them was not as good as other name brands. They were OK as a back-up and performed better outside then on the indoor courts which are made of a different surface. We are using them , but would most likely not repurchase.
