"There is no better title than Play It Cool for The Frigidaires debut album. Filled with taut, reverb-laden melodies, the record makes writing hooks look easy. A quick survey of the tools—three guitars and a solid rhythm section—only disarms the listener further. It’s only upon closer inspection that songs reveal themselves to be the subtly intricate compositions they truly are. From the drop, album opener “Rip Current” sets Play It Cool in a state of forward motion. Here, interplay serves to create a tension that pulls the listener further out to sea. Between the song’s verse and chorus, opposing of trial and triumph are introduced. Thematically, this tension serves as an undercurrent throughout the album. Next, The Frigidaires are quick to reveal their hand on “Red Vega”—they are equally deft vocalists, capable of air-tight three-part harmonies. Stacked at the top of the album, these openers prove the successfully band taps into the rich foundation of their surf forbearers only to chart a path of their own. “Draggin,’” the opener on Side 2, proves that The Frigidaires can also bring the heat. Lead by wiry, intertwined leads set atop a propulsive rhythm, the song argues that, although the muscle car might be a thing of the past, a true car song doesn’t have to be. As Play It Cool winds towards its close, “Stormy Seas” provides a final Middle Eastern-influenced salvo before “Tide Pools (Reprise)” leaves only a piano to ease us off. It’s a welcome left turn in an album filled with welcome left turns. With their debut album, the band played their hand well, they played it cool. Chill Out! Play It Cool

Perfect color, handsize and materials
Style: Lavender 1lb Pair
My physical therapist suggested I use 1 lb. hand weights so I could continue to use them on non-therapy days for weighted movements I did in PT recovering from shoulder surgery. There were many dumbbell brands to choose from, but I'm thrilled I chose this Lionscool brand. The dumbbells/hand weights arrived quickly, carefully bubble-wrapped and zip-tied together so they didn't damage each other (neoprene coating), nor bounce around in transit, plus packaging was strong to support weight of dumbbells. These hand weights come in great colors with weight numbers on the end. I don't feel the neoprene will degrade through use or age. The weights work well and I love the light purple color. I also purchased the 2 lb. weights, and they were packaged identically. The two sets DID arrived separately, which was actually nice if you are limited on how much you can pick up due to my shoulder surgery (I had them shipped to an Amazon locker). It will be some time before I move up to the 2lb weights, but I'm glad I purchased both sets. I would definitely purchase this brand again. I especially like that they are not slick. The neoprene coating covering all of the dumbbell(s) feel a little sandy/gritty, but does not hurt your hand, nor will they slip from your hand accidentally, and six-sided ends. They seem priced similarly to other brands, but since I plan to have these a long time, I figured, why not get the colors-themed sets that I like best, with non-slip weights. (I have 2 and 3 lb. single dumbbells that I purchased at a store which were on sale years ago that are slick, glossy, vinyl-type material colored with end numbers fading off the weights). I prefer these hand weights MUCH more...material, color, shape, and size. I have a larger hand (about an 8), but these do fit my hands fine, and feel secure in my hands as well. Good luck!

Color: Blues, Size: 56 LB, Color: Blues, Size: 56 LB
I’m really happy with this dumbbell set. The stand was very easy to assemble and feels sturdy once put together. The neoprene coating on the weights is comfortable to grip and doesn’t slip, even when your hands get a little sweaty. I also love the colors—they make the set look nice in my workout space. Perfect for home workouts, compact, and easy to move around. Definitely worth it if you’re looking for a practical and stylish weight set!

Happy customer
Color: Black, Size: 32 LB, Color: Black, Size: 32 LB
I recently purchased a set of black dumbbell weights, and I couldn't be happier with my decision!
These dumbbells are solid and built to last. The weight material feels durable, and I can tell they're gonna last. These weights are perfect for all my exercises. They come in a range of sizes, allowing me to easily adjust the weight for different muscle groups. I love the sleek black finish! It not only looks stylish in my home gym but also adds a touch of professionalism to my space. The price point is excellent considering the quality and durability of these dumbbells. I've seen similar products at a much higher price, but these offer the same benefits without breaking the bank. Their design makes them easy to grip, and the smooth texture ensures I can maintain my hold even during the sweatiest workouts. Plus, they're compact and easy to store, making them perfect for home use.
Overall, these dumbbell weights check all the boxes. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to enhance their fitness journey!
