Glasses for Migraine Headaches and Epilepsy SUN SMITH

Studies show that approximately 80% of migraine patients report light sensitivity during attacks, and almost half report that light sensitivity is the most bothersome symptom following a headache. Light wavelengths stimulating intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (IPRGCs) exacerbate headache-associated light sensitivity.

Randomized Controlled Trial

Lesa France developed glasses for headaches with an absorptive filter that block wavelengths exacerbating migraine pain and transmit the most comfortable wavelengths. The filters ameliorate headache pain and light sensitivity.

Glasses with Magelis filter are intended to reduce the severity of headache pain in adult patients diagnosed with episodic migraine headaches, and/or epilepsy attacks.

Principle

Glasses for headaches with migraine/epilepsy preventive filter Magelis:
This absorptive filter, worn constantly, reduces visual stress and softens light flashes. This dual action significantly reduces headaches, migraine and/or epilepsy attacks.

Glasses for epilepsy with preventive absorptive filter Epilepsie EPX:
This lens is deep blue with low light transmission. It helps to prevent and stop epileptic seizures. The special colour simulates a resting or sleeping position and quickly calms the subject. Epilepsy overglasses stop stroboscopic effects.

Clinical Trial/Epilepsy

Magelis Classique - The anti-migraine shade.
Migraines are frequent headaches. They are generally disabling because they can interfere with the sufferer's activity. A migraine lasts between 4 and 72 hours. Symptoms include phonophobia, photophobia, nausea, and even vomiting and are generally aggravated by physical exertion. Migraines are three times more common in women than men and often occur between the ages of 10 and 40. There are various causes of migraines, with the ophthalmic factor frequently being a cause.

Magelis filter acts on different levels. It eliminates harmful and disabling blue light and affects light transmission and perception. By altering the visible spectrum, Magelis also affects neurotransmitters and limits light transmission, which generates additional stress. Therefore, it is beneficial in the fight against photophobia.
Worn all the time, this tint reduces visual stress and attenuates light flashes.
This dual action significantly reduces migraine and/or epilepsy attacks.
Light transmission: available in 5 different light transmissions, each patient will be able to choose an intensity to suit their sensitivity.

Magelis Akebi - A winning combination of headache prevention and contrast.
Some people are so sensitive to light that they suffer from headaches.
This phenomenon is mainly caused by wavelengths below 500 nm—in other words, blue light. By effectively and precisely filtering the right wavelengths, a lens can inhibit chemical behaviour in the brain or regulate a wearer's circadian cycle.
The eye contains light-sensitive retinal ganglion cells that generate melanopsin.
Melanopsin facilitates colour vision in bright light. It is mainly released by exposure to blue light. Some studies have shown that this molecule may be involved in light-related ophthalmic headaches.

Akebi filter eliminates harmful and disabling blue light and affects light transmission and perception. By modifying the visible spectrum, it also affects neurotransmitters and limits the transmission of light, which generates additional stress. Therefore, it is beneficial in the fight against photophobia. When worn continuously, this tint reduces visual stress and attenuates light flashes. This action significantly reduces migraine and/or epilepsy attacks. Akebi also significantly improves contrast vision.
This may also be suitable for visually impaired people.
Light transmission: five different light transmissions are available, and each patient can choose the intensity that best suits their sensitivity.

The glasses are used as standard non-refractive sunglasses and are available in different sun protection categories from 1 (indoor or cloudy) to 3-4 (outdoor, sunny weather) and tints. Category 4 - not suitable for driving!

Great Size, Strong Enough for Everyday Use, and Worth Reordering
Size: 300 Count
I reorder these regularly, and that really says the most. They’ve been consistent, practical, and a good value for what you get. They’re strong enough to handle normal meals without feeling like they’re going to give way. I’ve had no issues using them for everyday food, and they hold up well as long as you’re using them as intended. I also like the size. They’re a little over 8½ inches, which works well for most meals. If I have something heavier, I can put a plate holder underneath, and these still fit just fine. The print/design is simple, which I don’t mind at all. I’m more concerned with how they perform, and these do what I need them to do. I’ve used name-brand paper plates before, and for my everyday use, I feel like these compare very well, especially considering the price. I’ll also be honest—paper plates just make sense for me. I tend to drop things because of how my hands work, so this helps prevent broken dishes and the cleanup that comes with that. Plus, it definitely cuts down on doing dishes. Overall, these are reliable, affordable, and something I’ll continue to reorder.

Great Everyday Paper Plates for the Price
Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
For around six bucks, getting 100 microwave-safe paper plates like this is a really good deal. Also, they’re actually pretty good quality. They can hold a decent amount of food and they don’t get all soggy or start dripping through the bottom halfway through eating. The soak-proof part is legit. Another thing I liked is the design. The white and green looks simple but nice, and they honestly just look better than a lot of the random cheap paper plates out there. I’ve been using them pretty regularly for quick meals and throwing food in the microwave, and they’ve been really convenient. I will say, if the food is extremely hot, the bottom of the plate does warm up pretty fast since the plates are somewhat thin underneath. Sometimes using two plates instead of one helps with that. Aside from that though, they’ve been excellent. For the amount you get, the quality is genuinely solid and they’ve held up really well for everyday use. Amazon Basics definitely nailed these. 100% would recommend them.

Worthwhile purchase
Size: 300 Count
Could be a tad more sturdy, maybe higher sides however still recommend; at the price/ quantity, the shear convenience, they burn easily in the firepit, and save on water/soap.
