Our crochet Moses baskets are carefully handmade from premium 100% cotton yarn and finished with a firm foam mattress suitable for newborns. Designed with both comfort and safety in mind, this basket creates a secure and peaceful environment for your baby’s first months.
Unlike many mass-produced crochet baskets now available, each of our baskets is made one by one in Europe using durable cotton cord. This traditional crocheting method creates a strong, structured basket that keeps its shape beautifully while remaining breathable and gentle for delicate baby skin.
The sturdy 9mm cotton cord construction provides excellent support, while the smooth untreated wooden base underneath the mattress ensures a flat, firm sleeping surface as recommended by the Lullaby Trust. You can read more about Moses basket safety on our blog.
The cotton yarn used in our baskets is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, confirming that it has been tested and is free from harmful substances.
Practical integrated handles make it easy to move the basket around your home so your baby can stay close during the day.
The basket can be used on its own or paired with a Moses basket stand available here. Please note the stand shown in product images may differ from the stand we offer.
For everyday practicality, we also recommend using a removable fitted sheet or a waterproof mattress protector to keep the mattress clean.

Moses baskets are generally suitable from birth until around 4–6 months of age, or until your baby begins rolling over or sitting up (maximum weight approximately 9 kg).
