NEW LP
New sealed copy. Rocktober 2025 limited edition release on black 7 white vinyl.
Fun House (Alternate Version) is a 2025 Rocktober release from Rhino, presenting a selection of raw, previously unreleased takes from the Stooges’ 1970 Fun House sessions. Rather than a remix or overhaul, this limited LP offers a window into the band’s process at a pivotal moment, capturing the volatility and spontaneity that shaped one of proto-punk’s most important records.
The tracklist features early versions of album staples including “Down on the Street,” “Loose,” “T.V. Eye,” “Dirt,” “1970,” “Fun House,” and “Freak (L.A. Blues),” with takes pulled directly from the studio reel. The performances are rough, immediate, and unpolished, emphasizing the band’s live-in-the-room chemistry and Iggy Pop’s unrestrained vocal approach.
Pressed for Rocktober in limited quantities, often on opaque white and black vinyl, the release serves as a companion to the original album rather than a replacement. For listeners interested in the roots of punk and the evolution of the Stooges’ sound, Fun House (Alternate Version) provides a rare and candid document of a band pushing their songs into unruly, formative shape.
TRACKLIST:
A1 Down On The Street (Take 1)
A2 Loose (Take 2 [Edit])
