Note from the manufacturer: Each PH-200 comes with a small packet of pH 7 Buffer powder, and a sachet of electrode storage solution. Note that the cap over the probe is not 100% air tight, and the solution does evaporate while in transit, which may cause visible salt crystals residue. This is not corrosion. The residue can be easily removed by dropping a tiny bit of water into the cap to dissolve the salt. The reference electrodes in this pH sensor are encased in glass to allow it to stay moist even if the cap is dry, which also allows for ease of re-saturation.
