The QFLEX 48-WP is a powered, digitally steerable multi-channel, column array loudspeaker designed as a complete solution for installed applications with challenging acoustics, such as houses of worship, transportation hubs, convention centres, conference facilities, shopping malls, performing arts centres and museums. Certified for water and dust ingress protection to IP54 standard, QFLEX 48-WP is an exceptional choice for indoor swimming pools or work areas with unusually high levels of dust or moisture, as well as outdoor applications where weather conditions are moderate. The heart of the system is our proprietary VNET loudspeaker networking platform, which comprises both software and hardware DSP components that produce extremely-high speech intelligibility, impactful music reinforcement, and complete loudspeaker system diagnostics and monitoring.

Class-Leading Control
While many competing steerable arrays allow only a modest steering range across specific frequencies, the QFLEX 48-WP has a class-leading ±70° steering control, plus 48 channels of integrated DSP and amplification for consistent and highly intelligible full-range voice and music applications.

A Revolution in Sound Technology
The first digitally steerable column array loudspeaker of its kind, QFLEX 48-WP’s revolutionary Beam Engine technology steers the the full-range sound away from surfaces that cause reflections. The intuitive Beam Engine GUI allows the designer to specify target areas. Rather than only providing a limited palette of opening and steering angles, the Beam Engine GUI generates a steering algorithm that is tailored for that specific area. The resulting asymmetrical pattern delivers similar sound pressure levels (SPL) in both the near and far field for superb coverage and intelligibility – all in a very aesthetically-pleasing package.

Drivers, Power & DSP
The QFLEX 48-WP column array loudspeaker comprises sixteen 4" low frequency drivers, sixteen 3" low frequency drivers and sixteen 1" high frequency drivers, each with their own individual 100 Watt Class D amplifier and integrated cutting edge DSP. Presented in a high density array with proportional frequency spacing, QFLEX 48-WP’s drivers provide digitally-steerable coverage for distances up to 80 m (262’) – with no aliasing artefacts. A robust internal DSP engine works seamlessly with the proprietary VNET and Beam Engine software, both of which are available for free download at tannoy.com.

Scalability
Designed to provide premium-grade performance as a standalone self-powered column array, QFLEX 48-WP is also an exceptional choice for multiple-column configurations consisting of other Tannoy VNET enabled products. Implementation of the network between nodes is via high-quality rugged industry-standard RJ45 connectors, which are compatible with standard RJ45 plugs, and CAT5 cable. Each speaker has a unique address for auto-location on the network.

System Add-Ons
A wide range of accessory options are available for the VNET-enabled QFLEX 48-WP including: The VNET ETHERNET INTERFACE; VNET USB RS232 INTERFACE; VNET2-AES INTERFACE, VNET INTERFACE POWER SUPPLY; VNET INTERFACE RACK MOUNT; SENTINEL SM1, for monitoring VNET networked PA/VA systems, as well as the QFLEX ISOLATOR, for eliminating potential ground/hum issues.

IP54 & PA/VA Compliant
In addition to its IP54 water and dust resistance certification, QFLEX 48-WP’s high level of telemetry functionality renders it fully PA/VA compliant for use in any life safety or mass notification environment.

Build Quality
The architecturally styled corrosion resistant aluminum enclosure and perforated grille are finished in a semi matt white paint. The QFLEX 48-WP also includes the necessary custom mounting hardware for quick and accurate installation.

If you're tall with broader shoulders, you'll probably love them. If you're shorter with a smaller frame you will probably feel like your head is too high and your neck at a weird angle (my problem). There seemed to be mixed reviews about softness....I would consider these a nice medium pillow. Soft filling but firm enough that your head doesn't sink to the bed. Definitely NOT a down-like pillow, so if that's what you're looking for, this is not for you.

The Pillows are the real deal. Very fluffy but with good support. I was surprised by the weight of the box they came in, pretty heavy so you know there’s good quality pillows inside. The one negative is that the pillows are packed in very very tight plastic because they come compressed. But the thing is, it’s really a chore to open them. You have to be careful not to cut through the plastic to the material, but the plastic is put on so incredibly tight that it’s even hard to get your finger underneath. But I found a way to open them. Near the top, insert A very flat metal ruler as far in as you could get it. Then cut through the plastic that’s above the metal ruler. That prevents a sharp tool from damaging the pillows. As you get through the plastic above the ruler, keep pushing the ruler further down into the package. Believe me, this simplifies what could be a very difficult unpacking. I am very surprised that the company that makes them does not insert the type of opener that you find on boxes you receive in the mail or even packages that you get from the grocery store where you just pull a tab and that opens the package. These are really good pillows, but you must be very careful about using a sharp object when opening the box and when trying to cut through the plastic. I am a strong man and have the tools needed, a very flat metal ruler, and a box cutter, knife, or razor. Good luck. !!

This has been 2 months now, but it hasn’t changed at all. I wake up happy, not complaining. No more pains or headaches. This saved me from losing days with a heating pad or an ice pack. The price was excellent for 2 pillows. I can’t believe a blind buy was the answer! These are incredible. Finally, something worked for me.
