These bold, sculptural creatures—symbols of strength and guardianship—were originally part of a pair of antique cuff links (circa 1890–1900), meticulously converted by our jeweler with hand-applied gold posts to create one-of-a-kind stud earrings.
Crafted in solid 14 karat gold, each earring has been professionally tested using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and traditional jeweler’s acid methods to ensure gold purity and authenticity. The detail in the feathered wings, open jaws, and arched forms speaks to the fine craftsmanship of the Victorian era.
Each earring measures approximately 0.75 inches tall by 0.5 inches wide and is in excellent converted condition, preserving the integrity of the original components while adapting them for contemporary use.

It works well BUT you will need a little more than a three inch opening. I ordered this as a replacement for a plain plastic grommet. I had to buy an attachment for my drill to make the hole a tad bigger and smooth out any bumps in the hole.
