Background
Gli2 protein is a crucial transcription factor in the Hedgehog signaling pathway, playing a significant role in embryonic development and tissue homeostasis. Gli2 acts as both an activator and repressor of gene expression, depending on the context and the presence of Hedgehog ligands.
