Wreathed in morning mist, the rainforest is a place where evolution and legend rule. Where the thunderbird once roamed, now kangaroos climb trees, which reach into the clouds to strip them of water. On their property on the Atherton Tablelands, Penny van Oosterzee and her husband are regenerating rainforest from paddocks, reconnecting fragments into a living corridor that will run to the Daintree and beyond. Penny weaves this personal experience into a sweeping account of Australia's rainforests, from their swampy birth millions of years ago to the present. Creation stories and science bleed together for rainforest people who remember through legend the volcanic creation of the tablelands. They managed Country for thousands of years, stitched into the patterns of the forest. Then came the European settlers and the killing times. The giant cedars were pillaged in a frenzy, and the richest rainforests in the world were cleared to make way for small unsustainable cattle farms for the settlers. After bitterly fought battles against logging, much of Australia's remaining wet tropical rainforest is now World Heritage-listed and is once again being managed by Traditional Owners. Will the unique capacity of these rainforests to counteract climate change be their salvation, or will they continue to be vulnerable to exploitation for short-term gain? Soft and cozy
Color: Tie-dye Cream Beige, Size: Twin(60"x80")
Recieved last week. The texture is soft and warm. Love it so far. The beige color is a little more greige than I expected but it still goes well with my decor.

Amazing blanket. Definitely recommend!!😊
Color: Tie-dye Sage, Size: Twin(60"x80")
Best blanket ever. I got it for an Amazon a lightning deal for 55% off! It was only 22 dollars and this is the most comfortable blankets ever. It is very soft and it keeps me very warm. I would definitely recommend it, it's even more beautiful in person. It's very high quality, and it's lightweight but keeps you warm. Though I wish they would lower the price, because it's 70 dollars to buy another one. But still an amazing blanket, 5 stars for me!!! 😊😊🥰🥰😍😍🤗🤗💗💞

Fabulous and sooooo soft
Color: Tie-dye Khaki, Size: Throw(50"x60"), Color: Tie-dye Khaki, Size: Throw(50"x60")
This blanket is so extremely soft and cozy. The only reason I deducted a star was because the fur side and the velvety side aren’t sew together anywhere besides the edges/seams, so when I fold it it’s basically like 2 blankets just sewn together and not one blanket. When you lie with it and cover you, they sort of separate if that makes sense but it doesn’t bother us. It’s so comfy to have on the couch and while movie watching. The only time it sort of a pain is when I fold it. In saying that, I would buy again. The velvety side is a soft tan/beige and the fur side is creams, off white and variations of the tan/beiges. So lovely. You can see it next to a solid cream colored blanket I have that I also bought on Amazon. It matches well and I love it!

This one is really soft
Color: Tie-dye Khaki, Size: Throw(50"x60")
This is actually baby bunny soft! I was very pleasantly surprised. The top side is plush and the bottom side is smooth but in a velvety suede type smooth. It is very well made and after machine washing and drying it several times it still looks and feels new.
