Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, fruit sourced from ‘Springs Hill Vineyard’, Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale grown by the Whaite family

Dry Grown on Holocene Sand, North East/South West aspect, 205-210m altitude. Planted 1975. Sustainable Winegrowing Australia Certified Vineyard.

2022 is our first ever release of the Springs Hill Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our love for Cabernet and ‘Claret’ in general is deep and the 2022 vintage saw us realise a lifelong dream. We knew Gary and Anthony Whaite had this block, and just quietly planted the idea into conversation for a few years until the offer came for some fruit.

Dry grown and Reynell Cabernet clone means tiny thick skinned berries in this part of the vale and they sure didn’t disappoint. One of the great assets of Cabernet Sauvignon is its tannin, meaning wines of great longevity being a natural preservative. Our aim however is to make a wine of refinement and elegance, to have the tannin but also ripe dark fruit purity.

Hand-picked, fully destemmed and crushed cold to a wax lined, 134yr concrete open fermenter. Mixed once daily until indigenous ferment commenced then two pump overs a day until dryness. One pump over a day until we were happy the tannins were where we wanted them. Two weeks on skins, pressed to tank for sugar dryness, then racked to a mix of barriques, hogsheads and puncheons, 23% new oak for 11 months. One rack and return off gross lees post malo.

Violets and bay leaf, blueberry, cedar, blackcurrants with HB pencil. Tightly framed, lithe and intense aromatics, a touch of graphite with a classical varietal sheath of aromas. Medium framed palate weight, structure is refined, discreet almost with fresh acidity and lovely tannins that quietly lengthen out the juicy primary fruit.

Great Interactive Toy
Color: Blue
This toy is amazing for keeping my dog entertained and active! The movement feature really grabs my dog’s attention, and he loves chasing and playing with it. It is strong and durable, and the design is very cute. It’s also great for preventing boredom, especially when my dog has extra energy. The battery lasts a good amount of time and it was very easy to set up. My dog plays with it every day and hasn’t gotten tired of it. I highly recommend this toy to anyone who wants a fun and interactive way to keep their dog happy and busy!

Pricey otherwise enjoyable
Color: Red
Ball is made of a durable type material kinda like a foam only not chewable, at least not yet Very entertaining and has a whining noise, it does bounce a little bit and moves somewhat when nudged by dog. Bouncy. Not a very high bounce so it keeps close to ground. The ball was fully charged when it arrived and has entertained her for about an hour now that she has settled down so it did what I hoped it would do, to keep herself busy to the point of being tired. At best I would not leave this lying around for heavy chewing use only for entertainment or play time.

Mostly Good toy. Could be great.
Color: Blue
The ball looks well made and the dog absolutely loves it. He can't stop playing with it. It's awsome to see. The only problem, abd it's a big one, is that we can't open the ball to turn it off. The two halves are stuck together and don't budge. I'll wait until battery dies and try then.

Entertaining
Color: Blue
This smart ball is a great toy for your dog. It’s the perfect size for most dogs and it’s made of durable material that chewing doesn’t hurt. It’s easy to charge and will run for hours. It’s very quiet and has 3 modes of play to choose from, rolling, bouncing or a combination of both to keep them (and you) entertained for hours.
