The Ortles Medium 3 RDS Down Jacket from Salewa is the ideal option for adding warm insulation to your mountaineering layering system. Whether you choose to use as a mid or outer layer, the 750-fill 90/10 RDS-certified duck down, paired with TirolWool® Responsive insulation inserts create a layer that retains heat, and the right amounts of warmth for different parts of the body, even when wet. Lightweight and hard-wearing, the outer fabric features nylon ripstop that is resistant to abrasion, meaning it will last much longer.

Finished with a PFC-free DWR, the jacket is water repellent and wind resistant, giving you shelter from the elements, and an adjustable hood, hem and elasticated cuffs provide further protection from the wet and cold. Two zippered side pockets and a zippered chest pocket keep your essentials close by and the 2-way central front zip allows you to adapt your jacket to use with a harness and belay device. When you no longer need the jacket, it packs easily down into its own integrated pocket to be tucked neatly away in a pack.
