The Lenovo PM1655 1.60 TB Mixed-Use SAS 24Gb/s solid state drive is engineered for data centers that demand reliability, speed, and scalable performance. As the successor to the PM1645a, the PM1655 delivers enhanced endurance and optimized performance for mixed-use workloads—from data-intensive databases and virtualization to heavy I/O streaming and transactional processing. Built for ThinkSystem servers, this 2.5-inch internal SAS SSD leverages a 24Gb/s SAS interface to accelerate read/write operations while maintaining dependable, enterprise-grade durability in 24x7 environments. If you’re upgrading aging storage or consolidating workloads, the PM1655 helps reduce latency, boost IOPS, and improve overall system responsiveness.

  • The PM1655 blends high-speed SAS 24Gb/s connectivity with enterprise-grade reliability to support mixed-use workloads across virtualization, databases, analytics, and mission-critical applications. It’s designed to deliver strong sequential and random I/O performance, helping operations handle spikes in demand without compromising consistency. In environments where every millisecond of latency matters, the PM1655 helps keep response times predictable and end-user experiences smooth.
  • Designed for ThinkSystem servers, the PM1655 integrates seamlessly with Lenovo management tools and data-center ecosystems. This drive is built to endure round-the-clock operation and is optimized for predictable write patterns common in mixed-use workloads. With robust error correction, wear leveling, and data-protection features, it maintains data integrity while sustaining sustained throughput—vital for large-scale deployments, virtualization clusters, and high-transaction applications.
  • Capable of supporting substantial storage density, the PM1655 provides a reliable solution for capacity-constrained environments that still demand fast access to data. The 1.60 TB capacity enables larger datasets, more virtual machines per host, and expanded catalogs or databases without expanding rack space. IT teams can consolidate storage pools, simplify backup strategies, and reduce total cost of ownership by leveraging a single, scalable SAS SSD across multiple workloads and servers.
  • Endurance and efficiency are central to the PM1655 design. The drive’s architecture emphasizes write durability and energy-conscious operation, helping data centers manage total power usage while preserving performance. Enhanced error detection, error correction, and firmware optimizations contribute to long-term reliability under diverse and mixed workflows. For environments with dense server configurations, the PM1655’s balance of performance and endurance translates into steadier service levels and lower maintenance windows.
  • Security and data protection are woven into the PM1655’s capabilities. Enterprise-grade features—such as power-loss protection, data integrity checks, and compatibility with Lenovo’s ThinkSystem security framework—help guard against unexpected outages and maintain data consistency across events. This is especially valuable for virtualized workloads, databases, and I/O-intensive applications where safeguarding information and minimizing data loss are top priorities.

How to install Lenovo PM1655

Installing the PM1655 2.5-inch SAS SSD is straightforward in compatible ThinkSystem servers and other enterprise platforms that support 2.5-inch SAS drives. Before you begin, power down the server and follow your facility’s electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions. Remove the drive bay or insert the PM1655 into an available 2.5-inch SAS hot-swap slot according to your server’s hardware guide. Align the drive, slide it into the bay until it seats firmly, and secure the drive tray or sled as required. Connect the SAS data ribbon or backplane cables to the drive’s interface, ensuring a clean, snug fit to avoid contact with edges or mounting hardware. After securing the drive, power up the server and enter the BIOS/UEFI or dedicated server management utility to confirm the drive is recognized. Configure the drive in the operating system or storage array controller as you would with any enterprise SSD, including initializing, formatting, and adding to a storage pool or virtual disk. For best results, update to the latest firmware and monitor drive health through Lenovo’s management tools or your preferred storage administration software. When used in multi-drive configurations, ensure proper zoning, pacing, and redundancy to maximize performance and reliability.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fantastic writing and non-stop action
Format: Kindle
This is a promising, fantastic beginning to what will be a 4-book series. Some readers may be content to read only the first 2 books, but I think you'll find that the story is so good that you'll want to keep reading books 3 and 4. Book 1 is about omega Elvana's introduction to the "Starling" brothers and their search for another missing person, Kelly. It's a bit of a rocky start, with deception and betrayal a key element. Hardly an auspicious beginning. Each member has their own path and purpose in the pack. Their interactions and the resulting narrative are so well-written that I found it difficult to put down. There is a cliffhanger that will have you reaching for book 2 as you finish, so make sure you have it on hand.

Fun read
Format: Kindle
I'm not really into mafia books but I love Roxy Collin's other series so I decided to give it a try. It had the same great romance, spice, swoon-worthy characters and exciting plot that are her signature. Arben was my favorite, although it was a bit sudden how quickly he changed from ignoring her to wanting to be pack. There were almost too many twists/layers of lies to keep track of but I'm looking forward to reading the other books. The only thing that detracted from the story for me was the need for a bit more proofreading. It was mentioned that Kelly is a female and male at different points, leading me to think she changed her mind at some point about the character's gender but didn't go back and edit it to align in all places. Like another reviewer pointed out, step siblings are different than half siblings. They are incorrectly referred to as step siblings because they (allegedly) share the same biological dad. There are a few other typos as well but those aren't a big deal.
