What is a terrarium? Terrariums are mini-gardens typically housed in small glass containers, containing a fully functioning plant ecosystem that is predominantly self-sustaining.
Materials
All materials are included with your classroom ticket. Materials include: 1 glass terrarium container, planting mediums to create your perfect terrarium style (soil, moss, pebbles, etc.), and 3 terrarium-loving foliage plants. Additional plants and terrarium accessories are also available for purchase on the day of the class.
Details
Classroom ticket is $75.
Tickets include 20% off one item on Terrarium night only! Our Plant Shop will be available to shop from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.
Classrooms are open to the public with a total of 12 people. Ages 8 and up are welcome.
Our terrarium building classroom runs about 1 hour.
Friday, February 27, 2026 from 6 PM - 7:30 PM at Lichen or Knot Plant Company storefront in Floyd, VA.
