The Black Box FlexPoint LMC250A Transceiver/Media Converter is a flexible, cost-effective solution for extending Ethernet or Fast Ethernet networks by bridging 850-nm and 1300-nm multimode fiber segments or by connecting multimode fibers to 1300-nm single-mode fiber. This compact, stand-alone device is designed to integrate seamlessly with the FlexPoint family, delivering reliable, scalable fiber connectivity for data centers, campus deployments, and network closets. With straightforward installation and versatile operation, the LMC250A helps you maximize your existing fiber plant while expanding your network reach without the need for expensive rewrites or complex configurations.

  • Flexible fiber bridge: Enables linking 850-nm and 1300-nm multimode fiber segments to extend Ethernet distances. By matching transmitters and receivers to the correct wavelengths, you can create seamless data paths across campus links, building interconnects, or data center corridors. This flexibility supports incremental upgrades and maximizes ROI by leveraging your current fiber plant.
  • Single-mode compatibility: When longer reach is required, the LMC250A can connect an 850-nm or 1300-nm multimode segment to a 1300-nm single-mode segment. This capability lets you traverse greater distances without replacing existing fiber, preserving prior investments and enabling scalable network growth across larger campuses or remote sites.
  • Cost-effective, plug-and-play deployment: Designed as a stand-alone converter, the LMC250A minimizes cost and complexity. No additional software, servers, or management consoles are required—install, connect fiber, and power up. Its simple, predictable behavior makes it ideal for network upgrades, temporary links, or quick fiber extensions in busy environments.
  • Versatile, reliable hardware: Built to endure demanding network environments, the LMC250A features a rugged enclosure and compatibility with the FlexPoint ecosystem. It supports a variety of fiber configurations and topologies, enabling you to deploy in racks, cabinets, or shelf-based installations while maintaining consistent performance with other Black Box media converters and transceivers.
  • Optimized for Ethernet and Fast Ethernet: The LMC250A is designed to support typical enterprise networking speeds, delivering dependable data transmission over paired fiber segments. By aligning with standard Ethernet and Fast Ethernet operation, it provides a straightforward path to extending LAN connectivity without compromising performance or reliability.

how to install Black Box FlexPoint LMC250A Transceiver/Media Converter

  • Power down the network equipment before installation and ensure you have the appropriate power source per your facility’s standards.
  • Plan the link path by identifying the fiber segments you will bridge: 850-nm and 1300-nm multimode fibers, and/or a 1300-nm single-mode segment where longer reach is needed.
  • Connect the appropriate fiber cables to the LMC250A’s connectors, matching the wavelengths and fiber types to the transmitting and receiving ends. Verify fiber connectors and ferrules are compatible with your installed cables.
  • Insert the LMC250A into the network path between Ethernet devices or between fiber-linked nodes, ensuring correct alignment and secure connections. Power up the unit and confirm the indicator lights reflect a healthy link.
  • Test data transmission across the extended link, verify throughput and latency meet your network requirements, and document the topology for future maintenance or upgrades.

These are quite large for a puppy
Flavor Name: REAL Bacon/REAL Maplewood, Size: Puppy Tiny (2-Pack)
These are advertised as puppy but I wish there were still different sizes for the different sizes of puppies. It seems extra small dogs are left out of alot of things. My older larger dog seems to like these but shes only touched it once because these are also quite hard. And my tiny puppy wants to chew these but theyre so big she cant even get ahold of it. I wish there were more options for very small dogs/puppies. Because they seemed to really like these and wanted them but just cant chew them...

Finally a toy that isn’t destroyed in 7 minutes
This really is virtually indestructible! My dog is an aggressive tour and she has given this thing the business more often than not, and it does not even have a hole in it! My dog enjoys it immensely! It’s easy to take places. I love that it’s bright yellow and easy to see so I don’t trip over it! Definitely suitable for aggressive chewers!

Great choice for heavy chewers
Perfect for dogs that chew hard! Ours shred comparable toys at every turn, but this has held up beautifully. We’ve had it for a few months and it’s got minor wear and tear, but it is easy for them to play with, hardy, and worth every penny.

Durable, Fun, soft enough to not break teeth
Finally found a quality toy that our 75lb Black Mouth Cur hasn't destroyed in 5 minutes! In fact it's been a few months now. There are teeth marks, but she hasn't been able to take a chunk out of it yet. It even has some bounce to it when you toss it. And she finds it fun. Veterinary dentists recommend toys that are soft enough that you can leave a fingernail print in for toys that are less likely to break teeth, unlike bones and antlers. This is that toy! (My other dog broke both of her upper 3 rooted premolars on a Nylabone - healthy roots but the slab fracture exposed the pulp and had to be removed. Healthy roots are more difficult to remove. Dentists say those and antlers are money makers. 😭)
