Constructed with an ultralight 2-layer softshell, the Speerhaube is a protection layer engineered to be worn over your socks for added heat-trapping insulation within your shoes. A super low-volume piece at just nine grams, the Sock Cover Speerhaube relies on a half-sock design that covers just the forefoot and toes.

Building on the iconic ASSOS Fuguspeer, the Speerhaube is another intelligent ASSOS-exclusive design that provides a light layer of forefoot and toe protection on the inside of your shoe. Using a perforated version of the lightest 2L SPHERE softshell, this strikes the perfect balance between low-volume protection and breathability.

ASSOS developed a perforated version of SPHERE Ultra fabric specifically for the Speerhaube, providing “micro holes” in a stretchy membrane-backed 2L softshell to exhaust excess heat from the foot, still ensuring light protection from wind and road spray.
