It doesn't matter if you're a skier, mountain biker, horse rider or anyone else who wears a helmet, all of these activities carry risk and anything that reduces those risks must be a good thing.
The Tocsen Crash Helmet Sensor mounts easily onto any helmet and it uses accelerometers to detect when a crash has occurred. When the sensor is triggered, it sounds an alarm that can be disarmed for 30 seconds after the crash, if you're OK. If it is not disarmed, it will use your phone to send messages with your location to your preset emergency contacts and other Tocsen users in the area. The sensor is weatherproof (IP67) so it can be used in all conditions, worry-free and it has a micro-USB rechargeable battery with a long life.
It's one of those bits of equipment, like a first aid kit, that you hope you'll never need to use but you wouldn't want to be without it either. If you travel solo in the woods, hills, or backcountry, take luck out of the casualty rescue equation and get a Tocsen crash sensor on your helmet.
