• Yuletide - Welcome in the promise of the return of the sun & new beginnings with this Hocus Pocus favorite. Surround yourself in the scents of fir, cinnamon,orange, frankincense, bayberry, & more. Try this incense in a potpourri burner or even a pot of water on the stove! Or smolder on a charcoal for more of a fireplace sent. Or use the Oil in an oil or light bulb diffuser or anoint candles & let the merriment begin! Also perfectly suited for any Yule rituals you are having.
• Imbolc - A traditional festival marking the beginning of spring. It's held on February 1st, or about halfway between the winter solstice & the spring equinox. This holiday is usually celebrated beginning at sundown on February 1st & continuing through the day of February 2nd. Imbolc means in the belly of the Mother because that is where seeds are beginning to stir as it is Spring. Wheat stalks are exchanged as symbols of protection & prosperity in the coming year. Home hearth fires are put out & re-lit, & a besom is place by the front door to symbolize sweeping out the old & welcoming the new. Candles are lit & placed in each room of the house to honor the re-birth of the Sun. Purity, Growth & Re-Newal, The Re-Union of the Goddess & the God, Fertility, & dispensing of the old & making way for the new.  Our Hocus Pocus Signature Imbolc Incense & Oil are a lovely addition to your customs!  Let the scents of Basil, Bay, Wisteria, Cinnamon, Violet, Vanilla, Myrrh carry u into the thoughts of the upcoming year.
• Ostara - As Spring reaches its midpoint, night & day stand in perfect balance with light on the increase. It is a time of great fertility, new growth, & newborn animals. The next full moon (a time of increased births) is called the Ostara & the egg & the rabbit are its symbols. It’s a great time for planting seeds or starting a Magickal Herb Garden. Our Hocus Pocus Signature Ostara formula features the beautiful floral notes of peony, narcissus, Iris, violets, & many more. It’s a light playful scent that reminds us that spring is here!
• Beltane - May 1st. We celebrate the return of the summer, & fertility of the land, animals, & people. Joy & revelry is fostered in Beltane celebrations & rituals. It's about casting off the darkness & celebrating the light. It's a time for celebrating fertility, both in the context of our biological functions as well as our own creative energies. Beltane is a fun sexy holiday! Erect the May pole (often made from the stalk of the Yule tree from Yule)! Attach the ribbons & dance the fertility dance of the Maypole! Beltane is a sexy fun holiday! Use our Beltane Oil, incense & bath to arouse & stoke your inner embers that have been smoldering all winter. It’s time for a full blaze!
• Summer Solstice, Midsummer, Litha - This is the longest day & shortest night of the year, marking the pinnacle of the Sun’s power to fuel the growing season. Greatest abundance of the year. The crops are reaching their full maturity & the forests are bursting with lush growth. In just a few short weeks, the harvest season will begin, but for now we pause to celebrate the manifestation of what was planted in the early weeks of Spring. This full bodied blend captures summer at its finest! Fragrant honeysuckle, rose, wisteria, lavender, mugwort, & many other summer herbs & flowers make up this beautiful blend!
• Lughnasadh - The festival of light & first harvest. Celtic holiday of Lammas falls on August 1st & signals the coming of Autumn. We celebrate by baking bread & creating with our hands to give thanks to Gia for her bounty. Lammas is a holiday of remembrance & releasing. We reflect on what has grown & what remains to be gathered later in the fall. Our Hocus Pocus Lughnasadh formula captures the warmth of the season with Aloes, Sandalwood, & the last roses of summer. • Mabon - Mabon falls on the Autumn Equinox & is the second of the three harvest festivals (Lammas, Mabon, & Samhain). At Mabon the days & nights are of equal length. Though temperatures may still be warm during the day, Summer has truly come to an end. The days were longer than the nights until this moment & after this the nights will begin their reign. It's a time to recognize the need for balance between work & play. We can't control it. We can't stop the seasons from turning. We can't stop the ebb & flow that happens in every aspect of life. The Earth at the Autumn Equinox shows us how to let go of the phase of growth & life. It's natural for humans to try to hold onto this, but limitation & death are integral parts in this cosmic orchestra. This may seem counter intuitive. But imagine a world where nothing dies. Over population is just one thing. What would we eat? What peace awaits those suffering? Ebb & flow are necessary in this world & each fuels the other. The rest aspect gives us energy to grow, while growth creates a desire for rest. So the balance is expansion & contraction, life & death. At the Sabbat of Mabon, we are called to align ourselves with this balance & experience peace & joy in the journey. • Samhain - Samhain one of four Major Sabbats. It marks the end of the Pagan Calendar & the last harvest festival of the year. In Samhain, death makes fertile the ground for rebirth at Yule. In death lies the seeds of life for the upcoming year. The dead leaves make fertile ground & protect the new life starting beneath them. It is the only time of the year that life & death exist simultaneously. At Samhain we honor our ancestors, loved ones, & friends who have ascended & crossed over. It's the time of the year when the veil between the living & the Discarnate is the thinnest. We focus on Necromancy, Divination, & take inventory of the things in our lives that no longer serve our growth & let them go.
