The Extreme Networks ExtremeWireless AP305CX is an advanced Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) indoor access point engineered for high-density enterprise environments. Built around a modern system-on-a-chip (SoC), it delivers resilient performance with two built-in dual-band radios and flexible antenna configurations that support both integrated options and external antennas. Designed to balance cost and capability, the AP305CX offers high efficiency, reliable coverage, and scalable management for campuses, offices, and other enterprise spaces that demand consistent, secure wireless connectivity for today’s devices and applications.

  • The AP305CX packs two built-in dual-band radios, delivering robust capacity to support a growing number of clients, from laptops and smartphones to IoT sensors and bandwidth-heavy applications. This dual-radio architecture helps maximize throughput while minimizing interference, enabling seamless performance in dense environments.
  • With Wi‑Fi 6 technology (802.11ax), the AP305CX delivers higher data rates, improved multi-user performance, and enhanced efficiency in high-traffic conditions. Features such as OFDMA and MU-MIMO協 enable more efficient spectrum use, reduced latency, and better overall user experience in busy office environments.
  • Deployment flexibility is a key advantage: you can choose between integrated antennas or external antenna options to tailor coverage for your floor plan, ceiling layout, and room usage. This flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of indoor applications, from open workspaces to conference rooms and classrooms.
  • Engineered for enterprise-scale deployments, the AP305CX supports centralized management and policy enforcement, enabling IT teams to roll out consistent configurations, security settings, and firmware across multiple sites. This streamlines operations and reduces total cost of ownership while maintaining strong security and reliability.
  • The AP305CX is built on a purpose-built, efficient SoC that balances performance and power consumption, helping to optimize resources in large deployments. Its design focuses on delivering high efficiency for modern client devices while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for office ceilings and walls.

How to install Extreme Networks AP305CX

  • Plan your deployment by evaluating high-traffic areas and potential interference sources to determine optimal placement, aiming for balanced coverage across main workspaces and meeting rooms.
  • Unpack the AP305CX and inspect for secure mounting hardware. Choose a mounting location on the ceiling or wall that provides a clear line of sight to the target coverage area and minimizes physical obstructions.
  • Connect the device to your network infrastructure using an appropriate ethernet connection for power and data. Ensure the deployment environment has stable network access and a suitable power arrangement compatible with the device’s requirements.
  • Power on the unit and access its initial configuration interface according to your organization’s standard IT procedures. This typically involves adopting the AP into your centralized management platform or controller and applying baseline settings for SSIDs, security, and radio profiles.
  • Configure SSIDs, security policies (encryption, authentication methods), and radio profiles to align with your organization’s network policy. Optimize channel selection and transmit power to maximize coverage while minimizing interference with neighboring devices.
  • Test connectivity and performance across multiple devices to verify coverage and throughput. Fine-tune settings as needed based on a site survey, ensuring a consistent user experience across the workspace.

It's a good one, buy it.
Size: 16 AWG-100 ft
Actual 5 stars! OFC, copper stranded wire, takes solder nicely when tinned, stiff and pliable enough to stay bent. covering melts INTO wire as expected. I was hoping for a good deal and got one.

Not bad for money. But the spot lens is def a narrow spot
Color: 4.5inch Spot Light, Color: 4.5inch Spot Light
I did a direct comparison to BD squadron pro with spot lens. Pic one is 1 squadron spot lens, pic two is 1 auxbeam 4.5 Not a pair. Only one light each. Then the video is 2 squadron pro one with spot lenses the other with combo lens. Then both auxbeam 4.5. I wouldn’t buy the spot lens unless you have other lights or just trying to light a narrow beam a long ways. The fill light is not good. I say the brackets and the finish is on par with BD, not as deep as the XL80 but similar in size. The BD XL pro is def brighter with better fill even with spot lenses. I would say 4 of these would match the XL Pro at half the money if you have the space for four of them. But even 4 don’t match the XL80’s. But for 160 bucks it’s a good solid light.

Great quality, and very bright.
Color: 4inch Spot Light, Color: 4inch Spot Light
I installed 4 of these pod lights in the front bumper of my 2009 f150 (2 spot beam, and 2 combo beam), and I am very pleased with the overall build quality, and brightness of these pod lights. Installing them is fairly straight forward once you have them mounted where you want them, and they look great! I highly recommend these lights if you are looking to upgrade the lighting on your vehicle! The video I have attached is with the amber lens, and the picture with the lights on is without the lens. I prefer to keep the lenses on most of the time since it does add a layer of protection from the sun, and bugs/rocks while driving. I also do prefer the amber color for driving at night compared to the white.
