　　貓咪阿默和湯瑪士一家住在一起。

　　身形圓滾滾的她，很乖但不怎麼聰明，有很多的事情她都不能理解。至於她能理解的那些事，她又會忘記。她是一隻非常健忘的貓──

　　有時，她吃完晚餐，會忘記自己已經吃過了。有時，她在清理腳時會想一些事；之後，便忘了繼續清理。還有一次，追著鳥的她忘記貓其實不會飛……

　　而她最容易忘記的，就是自己有一個貓咪專用的門。這個小門讓她可以從廚房直接跳到後院，後院的花園總是讓阿默興奮不已：她聞著各種氣味，追著鳥不放，爬樹，或是對著自己那毛茸茸的翹尾巴不停的繞圈圈。然後，她忘了有專用小門……當她想要回家時，她忘了要怎麼進去，最後，她坐在廚房外的窗臺一直喵喵叫，直到有人打開窗戶讓她進去（但窗臺上湯瑪士先生種的花也因此遭了殃）。

　　就這樣，有點傻里傻氣的阿默經常惹了一堆麻煩，擾亂湯瑪士一家人的生活節奏，成為大人口中「討厭的貓！」（但是小孩有不同的理解和意見哦）。不過，有一天，當阿默度過諸事不順的一天，她的健忘卻意外地派上了用場，甚至帶來了非常歡樂的結果！這是怎麼回事呢？……

　　一直以來，朱迪絲．克爾都是備受歡迎的繪本作家和插畫家，她所創造的跟阿默有關的冒險故事，既有趣又溫暖，超過半世紀以來廣受全世界孩子們的喜愛！

朱迪絲．克爾（Judith Kerr, 1923-2019）

　　1923年生於柏林，為猶太後裔。父親曾是德國的著名劇評家及作家，母親為作曲家。1933年，全家為了躲避納粹的迫害而遷移海外，輾轉在瑞士、法國生活，並於1936年定居英國，戰後，全家順利取得了英國公民的身分。朱迪絲．克爾曾在1971年將其童年經歷寫成《希特勒偷走我的粉紅兔》（When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit），她如實的從九歲女孩的眼睛來看那段悲慘流離的歲月，不過，因為父母當時的善待，使她在逆境中也能把避難的種種，看成是生命中的一場冒險。而這也是在描寫有關納粹的作品中，它最與眾不同的地方。在德國，這本書被官方列在青少年了解納粹迫害的必讀書單中。

　　克爾在1945年進入倫敦中央工藝美術學院（the Central School of Arts and Crafts）就讀，之後從事藝術工作及撰寫電視腳本。婚後育有一子一女。在育兒期間，她編了一則故事給兩歲的女兒聽，不想，女兒每天睡前總要一聽再聽。等到五年以後，孩子都上學了，她便將這個故事以繪本的形式創作成書。這本她的繪本首作《來喝下午茶的老虎》（The Tiger Who Came to Tea, 1968）成了她的代表作之一，半個世紀以來一直歷久不墜，廣受孩子們的喜愛，至今銷售數量已逾千萬冊。2008年，更被改編成舞台劇，每年固定在英國各地巡迴演出。
　另外，【貓咪阿默系列】（The Mog series, 1970~2020）也是她另一廣為人知的代表作。主角是一隻憨憨肥肥、經常讓人哭笑不得的頑皮胖貓。此系列逾二十本，雖然作者一度在2002年以《再見阿默》（Goodbye Mog）和觀眾告別，但是，對「阿默」念念不忘的作者，從2015年開始，又陸續為小讀者們創作了好幾本以阿默為主角的故事。

　　當年近九旬，朱迪絲．克爾依然喜歡創新，並持續創作繪本。《無敵奶奶向前衝》（The Great Granny Gang）便是她2012年的另一傑作。內容描寫一群高齡的超級阿嬤，勁裝打扮的她們，不僅各個身懷絕技，還集結起來緝拿搶犯。可以說，這群活力四射的奶奶，為朱迪絲．克爾的晚年創作，又再次掀起了高潮。

　　之後，朱迪絲・克爾仍用她的生命餘光繼續為舉世的孩子們創作，直到2019年離世為止。2016年，獲BookTrust（英國最大的兒童閱讀慈善機構）頒發「終身成就獎」。

　　著有《繪本之眼》（親子天下出版）、《有年輪的繪本》（遠流出版）、《我是小孩，我有話要說》（玉山社出版）。

It is soft and pretty, but I’m not sure that Barbie pink is my best choice lol. Usually I would pair it with a mid century modern bedspread that is chenille, with a little pink so it works well but not too matchy matchy. Yes, it takes a small amount of effort to adjust them when you first get into the car, but I don't even think about it any more. As far as the quality, there is no shedding, no smell, and no discoloration. We have put over 4,000 miles on the car since I put these in, and I have no complaints to register.
