Moto Iron Wishbone Springer Front End for Harley-Davidson Sportster 2004-Up and Dyna 1991-2017

Most springers are universal; they're designed for many motorcycles. Why not buy something that's model-specific and designed for YOUR bike?

  • Heavy duty, one piece forged rear legs—no butt welds
  • 1" diameter front legs for improved durability
  • Precision-fit bronze rocker bushings for long life
  • TIG-welded construction
  • Includes 3/4" axle, spacers, and nuts to accommodate a front wheel from 2000-2007 Sportster or 2000-2003 Dyna
  • Features steering stops placed for use on Sportster and Dyna
  • Rake and trail have been predetermined for safe alteration of Sportster and Dyna
  • Includes spacer for recessed lower bearing found on Sportster and Dyna
  • Includes shorter top nut than "standard" aftermarket springers that don't work well for Sportster and Dyna
    • Provides a finished look
  • Zinc-plated axle and steering stem help prevent corrosion
  • Triple chrome plated or black powder coated finishes
  • Tubular wishbone front leg design looks at home on a variety of modern Sportster and Dyna models

Most springers are assembled for builders starting from scratch who can pick and choose parts to suit. But for those beginning with an assembled motorcycle, this can lead to lots of frustration and cost when trying to adapt a multi-fit front end to a very specific application. Enter the Moto Iron Wishbone.

Safety is paramount with the Moto Iron series of springers, which is why strong one-piece rear legs are employed, not butt-welded multi-piece affairs used by other manufacturers. TIG welding is employed for neat, strong welds. Another safety item is the geometry—altering the front end can cause handling problems ranging from unpleasant to unsafe. Rake and trail has been calculated into the design of this springer so you can choose your length and wheel size for use on a stock Dyna or rubber-mount Sporty frame without venturing into dangerous territory; see details in the fitment section.

And best of all, you don't have to figure out how to keep your fork from flopping or damaging your tank or paint. This springer has steering stops placed to integrate with the stop boss that exists on your OEM Dyna or Sportster steering tube.

You'll also find beefy 1" diameter front legs to help these springers offer a high level of strength, all at at a price that cannot be beaten. Examine the competition and see what you're getting when you choose a Moto Iron springer. Construction details matter, and if you add it all up, it's easy see why these are one of the safest, most durable options on the market. Don't rely on a swap meet special that probably needs work, likely isn't the best cosmetically, and might not be up to snuff safety-wise.

Stock length measurement based on 23 1/2" as measured from the upper surface of the lower tree to the centerline of the axle vertically; this is very close to the length of most stock 39mm and 49mm hydraulic front ends that are found on the majority of specified models this springer was engineered to fit.

The glow doesn’t last long, not super bright.
Style: Recharges, Size: Medium
I charge my glow in the dark balls with a black light flashlight, this one was not very bright, and it did not hold the charge very long. Also, with it being green, it was hard for my dog to find in the grass.

Good grip glow ball
Style: Recharges, Size: Medium
Love this glow in the dark Chuck IT. Get a black light flashlight to charge the neon instantly. Good texture gives the dog better grip than the smooth all white glow in the dark chuck it balls.

Our German Sheppard loves these
Size: Medium
These cost a bit more than tennis balls, but they are so much nicer and longer lasting. For starters, they stay cleaner than tennis balls because they’re smooth rubber. Dirt won’t build up on them and if anything does stick, like grass or soil, it falls off once the dog slobber dries. They’re also thick, so they don’t fall apart or blow out like a normal tennis ball does in our dog’s jaws after 30 seconds. Our GS chomps on these like crazy and the only damage they’ve suffered is a crack that developed from the edge of the hole, but the crack is growing very slowly and none of these balls have totally failed yet. The balls do whistle when thrown ant high speed and that may help a dog track and locate it, but I’m not sure. Our neighbors hear the whistling too so it’s far from silent. Lastly the orange ball is easy to locate out in our yard, but the dark blue practically disappears.
