Underwood Horse Medicine Instructions:
- Apply Underwood Horse Medicine onto the wound and lightly dust with BAKING POWDER
- Baking powder acts as an invisible bandage keeping the medicine inside the wound and corruption and infection out. Each application adds another layer of protection to the wound acting like a scab.
- Never flush or wash the wound
- Flushing or washing a wound while using Underwood Horse Medicine is counter productive to the healing process because you are washing any pre-existing medicine out of the wound and causing further irriation. Moisture also plays a key role in proud flesh formation.
- Never wrap the wound while using Underwood Horse Medicine
- Wrapping the wound does not allow fresh air access to the wound and becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and proud flesh development.
- Apply twice daily
- We suggest applying the medicine as many times daily as possible to expedite the healing process. (twice minimum)

Keep out of morning dew
- Any moisture that collects on the baking powder formation will have adverse effects on the healing process. Keep the wound as dry as possible.

Do not pack the baking powder into the wound, it only requires a light dusting

When the baking powder dries on the wound it forms cracks that allow our medicine to seep into the wound, if you have packed the wound with baking powder these cracks will not form.

Does seem different from blue bottle version

I have to say this one is interesting. I’m use to using the Blue Lizard in the all blue bottle for the better ingredients & still effective against UV rays with the only downside of the white cast. With that being said this one does dry m o r e clear, but does seem to take longer rubbing into the skin. I also noticed I get much darker/ more red when using this one compared to barely any skin change with the all blue bottle during a beach day. It still says 50+ SPF, but I have noticed more of a pattern of that happening. Depending on how much/ long I’ll be in the sun I might use the other instead, but if I am planning to go somewhere more of a social gathering I may use this one due to it drying clear.

For Professional Outdoors Folks, THIS WORKS!

I am in the sun approximately 300 days a year and I have used everything available. I am on the water daily and there are only 2 products that 1) work and 2) stay on when wet; Blue Lizard and Doo's. Both have nutrients and moisturizers keeping your skin young. This stuff WORKS! Highly recommended.

Worked well for 4 days spent poolside in 104° temps
Color: White, Size: 0.15 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I purchased this specifically for the Zinc/ mineral based SPF factor. There are not a lot of great options for a sun BLOCK lip balm. This is about the highest SPF I could find, in a tube/stick applicator. We use 70 and 50 alternatively and apply often for our bodies and face, but we needed an extra layer for the lips. (They really are very delicate tissues)
We like the texture, I didn't notice a flavor or odor, so I guess that's good right? I did not see any white cast to it and honestly I would not care if it did, I just want a sun block for my lips while we are poolside. It worked well.
A slight tingly feeling to my lips for the first 30 seconds when applying it, but it did not sting or irritate my skin/lips.
We went 4 days of poolside lounging and swimming with about 5-6 hours a day at the pool. We were in and out of the shade, in and out of the water, at at very dry desert Nevada 104° sunny location. We reapplied about every 1.5 - 2 hours, or if we felt like we needed it after eating or drinking something. We did not burn nor peel, our lips were soft and great.
I will keep using it and will likely purchase again, when needed. It's a good brand.
Aside from straight up old fashioned white or colored lifeguard zinc sticks, this is a less "clown like makeup" option.
