Hamburg's Marc Richter has been busy with his Black to Comm project since his last appearance under that name on Type, 2009's genre-bending and critically acclaimed Alphabet 1968 (TYPE 053 CD). Aside from helming the prolific Dekorder imprint, he's put out a number of musical curios, including 2012's excellent film soundtrack EARTH. Now Richter is back with Alphabet 1968's proper follow-up, a self-titled double album pieced together from crumbling samples, vocal snippets, and an arsenal of noise generators and filters. Richter's material has always been characterized by an air of surrealism, but it's never been more obvious than on the pulsing, chattering opener "Human Gidrah" or in the delirious, fractured pop of "Hands." There are real songs hidden in here somewhere, but they're disintegrated by Richter's sound manipulation techniques and dissolved into soupy, extended drone marathons. The centerpiece is undoubtedly "Is Nowhere," which builds slowly over 20 minutes with rumbling organ sounds and buzzing filters, never losing the listener's attention for a second. Black to Comm is a deeper, more challenging record than it's predecessor, but one which repays the patient listener. Richter's dusty, unique sound has never sounded so well-honed and pointed, and it's a patchwork of ideas and fragments that only improves over time. Mastered and cut by Matt Colton. Overall, a really solid choice

This suit is a great option for a summer wedding or any formal event! The linen fabric keeps it lightweight and comfortable, which is perfect for kids, and the overall look is really sharp and stylish. The double-breasted jacket adds a nice elevated touch, and the full 5-piece set makes it easy to have a complete outfit without extra shopping.

Sharp Little Guy Alert!

I received this navy boys linen suit set in size 7 and it is absolutely adorable — and impressively well put together for the price! The navy color is rich and deep, not washed out or cheap looking, and the double breasted jacket with peak lapels gives it a really distinguished, grown-up look that is still perfectly sized and proportioned for a little boy. My son looked like a million bucks.
The five piece set is a great value — you get the jacket, pants, dress shirt, tie, and bow tie all in one purchase, which takes a lot of the guesswork out of pulling together a complete outfit. Everything coordinates beautifully right out of the box. The jacket details are lovely — the welt chest pocket, the lined interior, the buttoned cuffs — it all feels intentional and well-designed rather than thrown together.
The fabric has a nice linen-blend texture that looks elevated and holds up well — I was pleasantly surprised by how little wrinkling occurred even after hours of wear, which is not always the case with linen blends. The construction feels durable and sturdy, like it will survive more than just one special occasion before outgrowing it. The adjustable waistband on the pants is a thoughtful touch for growing kids.
On sizing — read the size chart carefully since it reflects suit measurements rather than body measurements. If your child is between sizes or growing fast, sizing up is the smart move. We ordered a size 7 and the fit was right on target.
Dry clean only, so keep that in mind for care. For a special occasion suit at this price point, the value is exceptional — you would easily pay two or three times this at a department store for comparable quality. Highly recommend!

True to size, with hidden adjustable waistband

This is SO adorable!
What I liked:
-It fits true to size, and the pants are adjustable. My son is 9, so I bought him 10Y. It’s slightly large on him, as expected. However, it doesn’t look too large. The pants have elastic inside the waist on both sides—the kind which allows you to pull on it to select how tight you want them, then secure the elastic to a hidden button. It also has belt loops, but I was able to tighten the pants enough that they weren’t needed.
-The pants have pockets.
-The material is soft and looks of high quality. The inner lining of the jacket feels soft & smooth against the skin, and there’s a small pocket inside the jacket.
-The tie is brilliant! It comes pre-tied and on an elastic bungee. The elastic hides perfectly under the collar. The bow tie is also adjustable.
There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like—Perhaps that the white shirt is thin. However, since I plan to have him wear it under the suit coat, it’s not an issue.
When my son put this on, I couldn’t stop saying “aww!” In all, I’m impressed.
