The Locomotor Folding Rota Stand Compact revolutionises sit to stand and pivot transfers.
The Locomotor Folding Rota Stand Compact combines all the benefits of the Rota stand and the Rota stand Solo in one product with the added value of being lightweight and foldable.
The Locomotor Folding Rota Stand Compact is ideal for community assessments by therapists who often have to lift equipment in and out of their vehicles. Equally, a more independent lifestyle is encouraged for clients who wish to travel to friends and relatives, the stand fits easily into the boot of a car.
Features of the Locomotor Folding Rota Stand Compact
-
Foldable compact design reduces storage and transport issues
-
Lightweight
-
Easy to manoeuvre and lift in and out of vehicles
- Height adjustable frame and shin pad to suit all clients
- Central wheels allow easy positioning
- Stabilizing bar allows a one person transfer
- 200kg weight limit.
How to use the Locomotor Folding Rota Stand Compact
- The Rota Stand Compact has been designed to allow staff to transfer a patient/client from one seated position to another. Before a transfer can take place staff should satisfy themselves through an appropriate risk assessment that the patient/client is able to bear weight independently
- Before every use of the Rota Stand Compact ensure that both the handle and shin pad are secure and that the equipment is in no way damaged.
- Before using your Rota Stand Compact adjust the height of the handlebar and the shin pad to suit the patient/client as described above.
- Ensure that the stabilising bar is fully retracted, the Rota Stand Compact can now be manoeuvred on its rear wheels and brought to a position in front of the patient/client
- Assist the patient/client to the front of their chair, ready to stand and place the patient/client’s feet on the non slip foot plate and gently wheel the Rota Stand Compact up to the patient/client on its central wheels. The Rota Stand Compact should end up with the patient/client’s feet on the non slip foot plate and shins firmly against the shin pad.
- If the Rota Stand Compact is to be operated in SOLO mode with only one carer then the SOLO stabilising bar must now be fully extended
- Encourage the patient/client, using the handlebar, to pull themselves into a standing position. The nurse/carer should position themselves(s) at the side of the patient/client with one hand on the handlebar bar ready to assist if required. Once the patient/client is in a standing position, ensure SOLO stabilising bar is fully retracted then gently rotate the Rota Stand Compact to the position required. Ensure the SOLO stabilising bar is fully extended before encouraging the patient/client to sit, reversing the above procedure.
- If the Rota Stand Compact is to be operated by 2 carers then extending the SOLO stabilising bar is optional.
- The Rota Stand Compact can also be used in the same way as a conventional Rotastand. In this way a carer would counterbalance the Rota Stand Compact from the front by holding the handle bar, and placing a foot on the brake as the patient/client brings themselves to a standing position. The SOLO stabilising bar is thus not needed to perform this transfer.

My go to makeup removal wipes
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 25)
CeraVe makeup wipes are perfect for traveling. Plant based, non sticky, makes makeup removal a snap and best of all it first irritate my sensitive skin.
Open it up fully and simply wipe away your makeup. Place over eyes for about a minute to dissolve away mascara, eyeshadow and eyeliner. Truly it’s just that easy to easy to use. For me there’s no mess or fuss with using these wipes. They are a bit pricey, but you’re paying for a quality product.

Hydrating & Effective
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 25)
They are perfectly moist and leave my face feeling soft and hydrated without burning my skin like a lot of other makeup remover wipes do. They take off my makeup very easily without having to use much pressure.

Great at removing makeup
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 25)
I was really surprised at how well these wipes removed my full coverage makeup. I was looking for a “cleaner” option to replace the wipes I had been using for years. These were not dry, affordable, they were gentle on my skin and I only needed one wipe for my whole face. Will be buying them again.

MY go to for travelling
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 25)
CeraVe's Hydrating Facial Cleansing Makeup Remover Wipes are a popular choice in the skincare market, known for their dual functionality of removing makeup and cleansing the skin. Here's a review based on their performance and qualities:
Pros:
1. Gentle Cleansing: One of the standout features of these wipes is their gentleness on the skin. They are formulated with ceramides, which are essential for maintaining the skin's barrier and hydration. This means that even if you have sensitive or dry skin, these wipes are less likely to cause irritation compared to some other makeup removers.
2. Effective Makeup Removal: These wipes effectively remove makeup, including waterproof mascara and long-lasting lipstick. They are saturated enough to break down makeup without excessive rubbing or tugging, which is crucial for preventing damage to the skin.
3. Hydrating: As the name suggests, these wipes are hydrating, leaving your skin feeling moisturized and refreshed after use. This is especially beneficial if you have dry or dehydrated skin.
4. Non-Comedogenic: CeraVe products are generally known for being non-comedogenic, which means they are less likely to clog pores and cause breakouts. These wipes follow that trend and are suitable for most skin types.
5. Convenient for On-the-Go: The individual wipes are convenient for travel or for keeping in your purse or gym bag for quick touch-ups or post-workout cleansing.
Cons:
1. Scent: While these wipes are fragrance-free, I may still notice a faint chemical scent. It's not overpowering, but those with a sensitivity to scents might find it noticeable.
2. Environmental Concerns: Like many disposable makeup wipes, these are not the most eco-friendly option. If sustainability is a priority for you, you might consider alternative makeup removal methods, such as reusable microfiber cloths or cleansing balms.
In conclusion, CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleansing Makeup Remover Wipes offer a gentle and effective solution for makeup removal and skincare. They are particularly well-suited for those with sensitive or dry skin due to their hydrating properties and ceramide-infused formula. While there are some minor drawbacks, such as the scent and potential packaging issues, they remain a popular choice among individuals seeking a convenient and reliable makeup remover that is also gentle on the skin.
