Often oxygen sensitive, paint commonly loses its freshness after being opened, due to oxidation. Each year, over 75 million paint cans are discarded due to oxidation after opening. Designed to prevent this, the Fresh-Port® Paint Topper helps protect your paint from oxygen exposure, preserving its quality so it’s ready to use again and again.
Comes In A Pack Of Two with Airgone® Argon gas.
Made of flexible silicone, the Paint Topper fits snugly around the top of the paint can, creating an airless seal. When paired with Airgone® Argon Gas, the system displaces oxygen resting on the surface of the paint and replaces it with argon, an inert, odorless, food-safe gas heavier than oxygen that forms a protective barrier to help prevent oxidation without affecting color or consistency.
Forget messing around with the traditional & messy paint lid, slip the paint topper on, apply a quick one-to-two second flush of Airgone® through the Fresh-Port® valve, and enjoy fresh paint again and again.
Our Paint Topper works with Fresh-Port® technology, which allows inert gases such as Airgone® Argon Gas to be sprayed onto moisture-sensitive products for added protection. Along with a degas valve, allows contents that emit gases such as CO2 to self-burp, making this inner lid self-degassing.
Using the Paint Topper is simple: slip it onto the bottle, insert the Airgone® straw into the Fresh-Port® valve, and apply a quick one-second flush. Argon sinks below the oxygen, forming a protective layer that helps preserve the flavor and freshness of your paint.
A quick note when using Airgone®! There is a wear-in period when using Airgone® with the patented Fresh-Port® Paint Topper. Some customers may experience some resistance when inserting the red Airgone straw, and this is entirely normal! These lids were designed with narrow valves to ensure no sneaky leaks or oxygen exchange could harm your product.
For optimal results when using Airgone®, keep the red straw detached from the Airgone® can when inserting it into the Fresh-Port® valve. Hold the red straw close to the end being inserted and apply gentle pressure until the straw can stand alone. Then, attach the Airgone can to the opposite end and administer a 2-second flush to displace oxygen. Once worn in, customers should have no trouble using Airgone® to keep their products fresh.
If you would like to speed up the wear-in process, take a paperclip and poke the blunt end through the Fresh-Port® valve. This should help widen the valve slightly while maintaining the silicone seal, preventing oxygen exchange!
Keep your paint, sealant, & varnish fresh with the Fresh-Port® Paint Toppers!
