A rare and profoundly sentimental jewel from the Georgian era. This exquisite mourning ring holds not just beauty, but deep personal history. Created in high carat gold, the ring features ornate black enamel detailing along the shoulders and setting. The rich enamelwork intertwining with fine gold engraving, as was traditional in mourning jewels of the early 19th century.

The ring’s central panel is set with a pearl edged glass compartment, beneath which lies finely woven hair, preserved as a token of remembrance. But the most remarkable detail lies within: hidden inside the ring is a concealed locket compartment, still containing its original hair, untouched for nearly two centuries.

Inside the band are two moving inscriptions:

  • “Dr R. Jordan ob 27th Sep 1829 Aet 67” — the original dedication, marking the passing of Dr. Jordan at age 67.

  • Later, another hand has delicately engraved “C. Jordan died 5th August 1833 aged 71” — almost certainly added by a loved one to commemorate his wife, creating a ring that became a shared memorial for a devoted couple.

This layer of personal history,  two lives remembered within one ring, makes this piece an extraordinary example of Georgian mourning art, filled with emotion, craftsmanship, and intimate storytelling.

Sublimation tape that works.
Number of Items: 2
Very strong and sticky tape. Great to use for sublimation on tumblers. No residual left on tumblers. Holds amazing. Stretch is just enough to help you get things nice and tight.

Recommend
Size: 4x9.5inch
First, the sizing is absolutely perfect for these projects. Instead of wasting large sheets and having to cut them down, these pre-cut sizes save a ton of time and effort — and most importantly, reduce paper waste. The quality of A-Sub paper has always been excellent: it holds vibrant colors beautifully, releases ink consistently, and produces crisp, sharp designs. Both of these sizes continue that tradition. I’ve noticed my images transfer smoothly and evenly every time, whether I'm working on ceramic mugs or glass tumblers. In terms of value, these smaller sheets are definitely worth the price. You get professional-quality results without using more paper than you need, which in the long run saves money and materials. Overall, I highly recommend these A-Sub sublimation papers for anyone looking to streamline their mug and tumbler production. They’re efficient, reliable, and a great investment for any sublimation business or hobbyist. - send me stuff to review.
