The Tamiya 1/35 Japanese Tank Type 97 Chi-Ha (35075) reproduces the principal Japanese medium tank of the Second World War — the Type 97 Chi-Ha that served from China through Malaya, the Philippines, and the Pacific island campaigns. While outclassed by most Allied and German tanks by mid-war, the Chi-Ha was technically advanced compared to Western tanks of the early 1930s and remained the backbone of Japanese armoured forces throughout the conflict.
Tamiya's 1/35 kit captures the Chi-Ha's characteristic cylindrical turret, riveted hull construction, and distinctive Japanese running gear with historical accuracy.
Kit highlights:
- Accurate Type 97 Chi-Ha with 57mm Type 97 gun
- Riveted hull and cylindrical turret faithfully reproduced
- IJA Pacific and China campaign marking options
- Distinctive Japanese suspension and running gear
- An important and less-common Pacific War subject in 1/35
Please note: Cement and paints required, sold separately.
