A beautiful and rare antique jewel. This Georgian pendant is enchanting and full of history, a sentimental love token from over 200 years ago.

Most likely converted from a brooch or pin, this sepia mounting scene features a grieving woman standing next to an urn and under a willow tree - all strong symbols on mourning jewellery. we believe there is also fine traces of blonde hair used within the image which was typical of the early 1800s.

Around the scene we have the inscription ‘I Mourning For Him I Dearly Loved‘. This scene is all hand painted and placed in a rock crystal locket which magnifies the image.

The locket itself is created from a mixture of 9 carat gold for the loop and base metals for backing. The rich golden colour perfectly suites the subtle imagery within. This is a wonderful relic from history.

WEIGHT: 2.8 grams approximately

CONDITION: This is in good antique condition and ready to wear and be loved. There is the expected wear of the age of the piece including wear the crystal and metal behind.
