Parade draws inspiration from the ballet of the same name, by Leonide Massine, Eric Satie, Jean Cocteau and with costumes and set design by Pablo Picasso. First performed by the Ballets Russes in Paris in 1917, the production is set at a funfair or fairground and follows the story of a traveling circus troupe.
